By that time they'll have enough DLC pumped out for the game to make it possible to get the best ending without multiplayer.
Which is equally bullshit.
Yep, which is gonna make the game real fun when the multiplayer severs inevitably go down (which, at EA's pace, will be in a year or two).
My biggest problem with the multiplayer affecting singleplayer thing. When MP dies or gets shut down we're screwed.

Does promoting a character always give you war assets?
Does every ending [sp]destroy the mass relays?[/sp]
Does every ending [sp]destroy the mass relays?[/sp]
Yes.
Just played the final mission again with EDI in my party. I thought [sp]whatever 2 squadmates you used for the mission would be the ones to emerge at the end with Joker. God I can't believe I spent all that time. What determines it? I've seen Javik come out in some videos, but he's technically DLC. I don't think it's randomized since Liara and Garrus appeared both times I played the destroy ending.[/sp]
What determines who [sp]emerges from the Normandy? I've seen every character emerge in videos, even Javik who is DLC.[/sp]
not if there's no planet to evolve on, what with a supernova being powerful enough to vaporize the entire system
if there is a relay the Reapers were there and their sun would have to be destroyed
again you seriously underestimate the power of a supernova
it would not be "flung" so much as it would just turn to cosmic dust
life will evolve again on A DIFFERENT PLANET it does not matter if a system is destroyed, there are many more for life to evolve on in 4.6 billion years
again, the reapers were there yes but they did not harvest the life of the system and would probably have left to defend earth
the mu relay survives the supernova of its star when it was flung into something
uhhh It works with collector armor just fine. did you select the right option?
no it doesnt and yes i did have the right thingy selected
i would give you a screenie to prove it but

So now what do I do?
Paragon: Say thanks for noticing and give them feedback.
Renegade: Bitch about how I've gone through all this trouble just to get my games back and how I have spent over 20 hours on Origin Live Chat support since Origin has been released over fuck tons of issues. Then demand I get some compensation. (Imagine all the free stuff I can get!)
I am a usually Paragon player but I'm really leaning towards Renegade regarding this situation.
Heart for Paragon. Winner for Renegade.

How many times you've talked to them and I think whoever your LI is.
And Javik has the most "interaction dialogs" out of all of the squadmates so he is pretty much guaranteed to come out every time.

Someone's already said 'yes', but actually in Control, [sp]at least the Sol relay remains active. Damaged, but it doesn't blow up, as in other endings.[/sp]

Really? I did not know that. That doesn't really offer too much of an advantage though, does it?

I've seen Garrus and Liara, but Garrus was my most talked to character, Liara was my LI, and both were my shore party for Earth.
Wait, can you romance Javik?
Really? I did not know that. That doesn't really offer too much of an advantage though, does it?
Well, prior to the Bioware interview, everyone assumed that FTL travel between systems would be severely impacted. But given that now we know that apparently the existence of the relays doesn't really matter, no, not really. The same ending keeps the Citadel intact though.

I've seen all the squadmates emerge as the 'favoured' squadmate in Control & Synthesis. Presumably the same can be said for Destroy, but I've not seen a video of EDI emerging yet. Traynor & Cortez only come out if they're your romance option. No idea about Allers.
In Synthesis, I think your love interest supersedes the additional squadmate, since EDI takes their place.

i really doubt they could immediately detect it and ban him, its not like the game has an active anti-cheat system. i have no idea what would happen though, maybe the server would crash.
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10225078
This brings up a good point. Bioware unintentionally justifying genocide, bigotry, and segregation? I don't know if I fully agree with it, but it's still very valid.
Someone already mentioned Mein Kampf in the 7th post, Godwin's Law doesn't fucking fail.

It kind of does matter really. It would take ~25 years or so for the Quarians to get back to Rannoch with the Council Races' Ships' current FTL technology.

no but javik can romance you

yeah its sort of difficult to talk about systematic racism as a theme of a work without mentioning the nazis, by the by
its like trying to talk about slavery without mentioning white people

I think it was Patrick Weekes who babbled off in an interview something about new research into FTL (Given the current state of the galaxy, I doubt research will progress much) and using the drive cores of the Reapers, which are faster (And presumably survived the magic space wave somehow? I'm not sure how that will work).
Then again, going on quotes from Weekes and Merizan, it seems a few people at Bioware are doing a lot of backtracking.
Someone already mentioned Mein Kampf in the 7th post, Godwin's Law doesn't fucking fail.
Mentioning Hitler in a thread discussing how a game's message may inadvertently be supporting genocide is appropriate. That has nothing to do with Godwin's Law.

Well Reaper FTL tech is double the speed of everyone else's, so ~12.5 years then.
Also, the wondrous power of Biotics.

I feel pretty bad for both weekes and merizan, honestly. they're trying to be nice by talking to the fans and everyone turns right around and uses their words against the company.
those two have some fucking zen shit going on. if it were me, by this point every one of my tweets would start with the words "you fuckers."

Yeah but racism in Germany was the result of hundreds of years of indoctrination not mein kampf.
EDIT
Actually never-mind i see why it's easier to just say Hitler instead of explaining the history.
Yeah but racism in Germany was the result of hundreds of years of indoctrination not mein kampf.
actually it was the result of like ten years under the treaty of versailles and the anger of disarmament and reparations being used by a relatively small group of individuals to turn the entire nation against other ethnicities
it wasnt exactly centuries of racism more like a couple years of angst and heavy drinking
i really doubt they could immediately detect it and ban him, its not like the game has an active anti-cheat system. i have no idea what would happen though, maybe the server would crash.
Yeah, Origin "scanning" files is complete bullshit, as far as I can tell. I created a multiplayer game with an Avenger that did 1000 damage, and there hasn't been any repercussions. I'm pretty sure they just check for credit cheating, or if someone is reported for cheating.
Do the people you bring with you in your squad during missions make any difference towards romancing them? Like would I have a better chance romancing Liara if I brought her with me on missions more?
