She doesn't like a specific race of people. She doesn't want genocide or anything, but she doesn't trust Turians specifically, and is implied to not trust other races as well. She is a racist.

Pressley probably doesn't get as much hate because he's an extremely minor character who dies in the opening cutscene in the second game, whereas Ashley is a major character who is (probably) with you throughout all three games.
