I DON'T WANT ANOTHER FUCKING ARC PISTOL FUCKKKK ARC PISTOL IV I did get a Black Widow in the same crate though. What's a good weapon for Gold? The Raptor's really working out for me so far.
Any high alpha damage weapon. All damage in Gold is reduced by 50 points if you're fighting armour/shield/barrier. This means generally, high ROF weapons are pathetic in gold. The minimum damage is 5, some weapons achieve this in gold. Bioware really needs to change the damage reduction to either a percentage reduction or perhaps a hybrid of both flat and percent. This should help assault rifles, SMGs and fast firing pistols do well.
Jacks not allowed to swear around students. But is allowed to have her nipples blatantly on show. What?
In the future, teachers can be sexy.
Composing Mass Effect: Episode 3
Finally. [editline]14th April 2012[/editline] wait that was ok, where was the part about "I'm Proud Of You", and "An End Once and For All"? Most memorable tracks, and they didn't even talk about them.
Awesome! What I don't understand is every video on Gametrailers.com takes longer than it should to buffer. I got lightning fast fibre optics do they just have shit servers?

Okey dokes, Writing Mode Activate. Ending #2: Song of the Rachni This ending, as mentioned, revolves around the song of the rachni, the inhabitants of Zhu's Hope, and the Synthesis ending. As we all know, the rachni utilise some form of telepathy to communicate, and queens can use the bodies of the deceased as "speakers". Also, Saren Arterius desired synthesis as the conclusion to the confict between organics and the Reapers. In this ending, whilst it unifies the galaxy in a way unheard of for aeons, it does not result in the complete sythesisation of organics and synthetics, unifying life not in body, but in mind; on a smaller scale for the first stages, but eventually blossoms into a wonder the likes of which the galaxy has never seen before. First step on this course of action, you must spare the Rachni Queen on Noveria, giving the rachni a chance to return to the galaxy. - Secondly, you must ensure that the denizens of Zhu's Hope survive, giving the opportunity for the lingering effects of the Thorian spores to allow for a sort of telepathic network to form between the survivors, and you must also ensure that Shiala survives to make this great plan come to fruition. - Thirdly, on Illium in Mass Effect 2, you must help the colony get better medical aid by re-negotiating the contract with Erinya, the racist asari who represents Baria Frontiers. This will aid in the Zhu's Hope colonists forming their "unity", the prototype of the coming harmony. - Fourth, and almost-finally, when you reach Utukku in Mass Effect 3, and you encounter the Rachni Queen, you must help her escape, giving you the rachni as allies and putting the final piece in place to begin the great work that you've worked so hard to achieve. - The final task to perform, the crowning moment of glory, is to approach the central column of light on the Crucible. As you approach the beam, familiar voices will commune with Shepard, and after a brief headache, the forms of Shiala and the Rachni Queen will appear before you, as if a hallucination. They will speak to Shepard fondly, expressing gratitude for doing what he did to allow the plan to come to fruition, and explain the specifics. By combining the telepathic network of the Zhu's Hope colonists with the network of the rachni, a new template has been formed, geared to work with all known mindsets, and when combined with the Crucible's energy it will establish a telepathic network between every living thing on Earth, including the Reapers. Shepard will be the one to add the signal to the Catalyst, and he places his hand into the beam, as opposed to his everything. As the Citadel broadcasts this signal down to Earth, the organics on Earth feel a change; they can hear voices in their heads, both the familiar voices of their comrades, and the sour notes of oily shadow that resonate from the Reapers. With this new network of mental unity, Shepard is able to speak into the minds of all organics, able to direct them to perform a certain action against the Reapers. Whilst Shiala suggests the usage of a sort of "Psychic Scream" to disorientate the Reapers, leaving them vulnerable to attack, the Rachni Queen suggests a different option; soothing the Reapers through song, similar to how rachni queens sing to their young to soothe them, and convincing them to leave in peace. However, before Shepard can make this choice, Harbinger arrives, its voice being a bitter screech of sanguine gold, with intent to destroy this "perversion of unity", and the Catalyst takes action by forcing Shepard into the mind of Harbinger, where Shepard can coordinate the voices of organics to either disorientate or soothe the many programs within Harbinger. These are incarnate as two different weapons; a gun that fires a red beam of psychic screaming, and an omni-tool that projects a deep-blue ray of soothing classical music. Choose whichever you want, but note that the power of the Song Ray and Scream Beam are directly tied to your Paragon and Renegade scores, so a "badass" Shepard can use the Scream Beam the best, whilst the Song Ray works best in the hands of a Paragon. Depending on the ratio of Screamed to Soothed programs, Harbinger's programs will coalesce in a sort of "throne room" in the Reaper's mind, and its demeanour depends on how you dealt with the programs; if there are significantly more screamed than soothed, Harbinger will be erratic and somewhat frightened, whilst if mostly soothed, Harbinger will talk with a sense of peace and enlightenment. A more-or-less equal balance between Screamed and Soothed results in standard Harbinger, not much change. Talking with Harbinger results in a dialogue concerning "the Storm outside the galaxy" and how mass effect technology would one day summon the Storm and destroy all life, similar to what it would say if you beat his ass up in the Direct Control ending. From there, you can choose to either destroy the Reapers and find your own solution to the problem, soothe the Reapers and cause them to return to dark space, or include the Reapers in the "Song of Life", allowing coexistence whilst searching for the solution to the storm. The option to let the Reapers do their job is also possible, though it makes all your efforts to establish the Song a waste, so I dunno WHY you'd ever do it. Destroying the Reapers will result in all minds on Earth unleashing the Psychic Scream upon the Reapers, disorientating them so their barriers fail and are unable to retaliate as the Unified Fleets blast them out of the skies. - Soothing the Reapers will cause them to cease attacking the organics, and leave the galaxy to return to dark space. - Unifying the Reapers in the Song will result in the Reapers working with organics, and help in rebuilding galactic civilisation. - Walking away from the Reapers results in the Reapers continuing their war, and whilst the Song helps the organics survive the fight longer, in the end the cycle reaches completion, with all sentient life either dead or harvested, the Crucible shattered, and the Reapers return to dark space to await the next cycle. This ending does not result in the final "cutscene" that i'm about to mention. Choosing either of the former three endings (Destroy, Soothe, Unify) will result in the cycle being broken, the galaxy can rebuild, and the threat of the Reapers is more or less over. The Song is spread across the galaxy, resulting in the dawn of a new age, an age where the mind has great power, and is researched further to find out what new benefits the Song can bring. Talented individuals, called psionics, learn how to master their new mental abilities; some can alter their perceptions to see things in a new light, some can help heal the trauma and damage that minds can sustain (repairing sanity, curing indoctrination, etc), and some can exert powerful influences over the minds of others for their own sinister purposes. Psionics are compared to biotics in terms of power, albiet using psychic power where biotics use dark energy, and in some cases there are rivalries between powerful psionics and powerful biotics. Humans and rachni are found to have the highest levels of psionic potential, which puts them in a position of power akin to the asari's mastery of biotics. As for your squadmates and the other characters, they get their resolutions shown depending on which ending is chosen, except for Walk Away in which everyone dies, but who's dickish enough to do THAT? For example, if you destroy the Reapers, Anderson appears as a "ghost in the Song" and is all "i'm proud of you, son", whilst in the Unify ending, Tali contemplates whether the "peace" between Reapers and organics will last or not, as she drowns her anxieties in a bottle of triple-filtered turian brandy, in an effort to block out the constant "CALIBRATIONSCALIBRATIONSILOVETALICALIBRATIONS" that she can hear from Garrus' mind. Many changes will happen over the course of the next few decades, and the game closes on a similar note to the introduction of Mass Effect 1:
In the year 2185, near the end of the Reaper War, the civilisations of the galaxy discovered a force unlike anything it had ever seen, one that unified the galaxy on a whole new level. In the decades that followed, organics discovered how to control this force with precision akin to biotics, and through controlling it they could influence the minds of others, for better or for worse. The basis for this force was a telepathic network that connected all organic minds to a greater psychic whole. The civilisations of the galaxy called it the greatest discovery in galactic history. Commander Shepard called it... Mind Effect
Welp, that's me done, and another ending in place. Perhaps later on, if I can be bothered, i'll consider trying to write the third "finale". The reason i'm calling them finales this time is because they more-or-less lead to chosen endings at the end of them, and are more like the "final stages" before choosing the endings in that branch. Anyways, the next ending i'll write will be based around the vanilla Destroy ending, and it shall be nicknamed "Space Battleship Citadel" or, to reference the original show, "Uchuu Senkan Joukaku" (joukaku is apparently Japanese for citadel).

Can anyone confirm that the extended cut DLC will be released this summer?
At the end of the extended cut DLC we see a picture of the team doing the finger.
I hope in the extended cut we get to see [sp] JAVIK! KING OF THE JELLYFISH! or him writing the book with Liara.[/sp]

I felt like a hero. All my squadmates died because of banshees at the beginning of wave 10 (admittedly only on silver) so I took out all of wave 10 with mi' trusted Black Widow. I hope my team was cheering for me. :v: EDIT: It was also on a map I had never played before, that Palaven one.
When do you unlock the resurgence kits for participating in the event? After the event like normal? The in-game announcement made it unclear.
When do you unlock the resurgence kits for participating in the event? After the event like normal? The in-game announcement made it unclear.
People are saying that they unlock on Tuesday like the Victory/Commendation packs, but those were rewards for completing a challenge. This week's event is just another XP-bonus event and the way it's described suggests players should have gotten those packs at the start. There isn't a post about it on the BioWare blog, which is where previous events' T&C were shown.
Oh I sure do hope I get a Justicar in my pack.
Oh I sure do hope I get a Justicar in my pack.
Team up with a Geth Engineer if you do. Their turret power restores shields and the Asari Justicar's sphere increases damage resistance for allies inside it, as well as decrease the shield recharge delay if it's specced that way. Me and a Geth Engineer survived three wave on Silver after wave 5 on Firebase Ghost by ourselves before backup showed up and things only got better after that. Just be careful with the Biotic Sphere power if you take the buff path: it only works if you have a team that's committed to sticking together and defending a small area. I've been the fifth wheel in matches with Vanguards, Infiltrators and Krogan who run around the map and as far away from the sphere as possible while hunting enemies down.

What the MP really needs is points for 'support', instead of just kill and assist. In a gold match my little turret is a life saver for the whole team but I get no additional points for it.
Geth Infiltrator with Geth Shotgun is some of the most fun I've had on Mass Effect 3 MP. Just been soloing bronze runs with it.
Holy SHIT the Black Widow is good on Gold.
Oh my fucking god Shepard is such a douchebag. It's a good thing Ashley deserves it. "He's not a zombie is he?" :v:
She's lying! she says she doesn't trust aliens because they don't believe in her God.

So I effectively solo'd the whole thing as an Infiltrator with an Avenger. it was basically like Amnesia only I could turn invisible and I had to kill all the monsters
It's funny when hosts only pick the new maps in order to get extra XP (or they just want to try the new map out, but the probability of people choosing the new maps before the weekend event was low). I would just choose Random and hope for the best. pff
I will say one thing: Operation Hydra is the worst. map. ever. for Infiltrators. Choosing a random map on Gold and having that one show up is a bit soul-crushing.
Geth plasma SMG <3

Why call them "Geth" weapons? I've never seen a Geth actually use one.
Why call them "Geth" weapons? I've never seen a Geth actually use one.
because they look like an iPod and everybody knows Geth are Apple fanboys
If I wrote any of the ME games there'd be paragon decisions, renegade decisions, neutral decisions, and then there'd also be the 'incredibly sarcastic' decisions where Shepard would simply go off on long winded tangents to prove why people are morons by pointing out how stupid and flawed their logic is.
neutral hawke?
