Those screenshots are old, this is how you can tell.
Both are the exact same place but the time of day settings appear to have changed.
Believe me, Crytek are not the kind of developers who are going to release something that looks like shit.
This is their first and will be their only shot for releasing a game on consoles, Crytek is all about technology, it's going to look good, really good.
This is their chance to prove themselves as a good company to the console market as well, this IS their first console released game. This is also a seller for their new engine as well, do you think they would have created an engine capable of developing on the fly realtime for both console systems if they where not confident people would like it?

Those screens where from the CE3 presentation and the build is at least 6 months old.
Was originally a video and those are screen caps from said video, most of everything is unfinished from what you see.
Also, I can also tell you that apparently the trailer looks like shit in comparison to the actual game.

You know you can run it, you don't have to show off your system to everyone. If your system was a bit weaker say a 5850, core i5 and 4gb ram then ok there is room for a little bit of speculation on how it will run it, depending on how optimized it is. But 2 5870's? That can already run the original at max, and the fact they have stated that this will run better. (And lol 12gb ram overkill much)
You don't really have to hope for anything.
I'm only in doubt with my 9800gtx because I run 1920x1200 and the card struggles in a lot of newer releases at that resolution.
But I might upgrade in about a year, so this game won't be any trouble.
I really think it looks good, but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. They need to share something about the story, because what we've been told seems very short to me, I mean it doesn't seem to have much of a value for a longer game.

Uh or how about he just wants to know how well he can run it maxed out as opposed to whether he'd be able to run it decently at medium settings (like someone with an average computer).
I hate it how if someone has good specs, everyone immediately calls them a showoff and won't let them talk about their computer or how games would run. It's stupid, get over yourself.
