Uh or how about he just wants to know how well he can run it maxed out as opposed to whether he'd be able to run it decently at medium settings (like someone with an average computer).
I hate it how if someone has good specs, everyone immediately calls them a showoff and won't let them talk about their computer or how games would run. It's stupid, get over yourself.

This is a damn Crysis thread. If we can't discuss how it might run maxed out with great specs then where can we?
He's right. It is obvious he would be able to run the game on the higher settings.
I hope that my current setup is good enough to handle it on very high settings.

You do realize that it was a joke.
Hey I'm talking Very High Settings.
With Catalyst AA on full, in HALF LIFE 2 I get a shitty framerate of like 40FPS. But if I "use application settings" and set AA to high in HL2, it looks like shit, but I get like 300FPS.
Is that normal?
Anyway I know my PC will be able to run Crysis on medium, but I was talking Very High.
HL2 has low AA settings if I remember, OB improved on it

the AA in hl2 is for the most part completely broken. 16 and 8x in game settings display 0 anti aliasing, hence why it looks bad and you get a better framerate
In other CryEngine 3 news: Chief executive officer and president Cevat Yerli has told Develop that Crytek is planning to again break new ground for the company by releasing a free, standalone version of CryEngine 3 - in the same vein as Epic Games did when the company released Unreal Development Kit, a free version of Unreal Engine 3, for public use. 'My CryEngine' indeed...
