I'm a little worried too, sounds.. eh I don't know. But it will be a wait and see type of thing, maybe it will be for the better.
The race/class combos really isn't that big of deal though, sure it sort of fucks with the lore, but it gives more variety, which is nice.

Uninstalling the expansion doesn't remove the content, it only removes your access to it. If you've upgraded your account, then you won't be able to even log in.
In the case of Cataclysm, however, everything changes, whether you have the expansion or not. The world WILL change.

I second that. I feel it was a bad move on removing several stats. They better make up for it and edit every item with those stats or there will be hell to pay.
