You guys still have gamestops in your area? Lucky; closest one to me is a now like 30 miles away.
Game is shit, it's all console supremacy there, only one small corner in every fucking store I've been too, while EB gets a whole wall.
You must have a great EB games then.
I have to agree that the PC section at GAME is...horrible, although I wouldn't say GAME on the whole is shit (that might just be because I'm a console gamer and they have a pretty good range of console games where I live). They do really need a larger PC section. The ones at the GAME where I am are nearly non-existent.
I agree all the GAME stores here are pretty badly stocked when it comes to PC games. I hate how pricey GAME is though compared to say getting it at ASDA or etc. You usually save about a bit of cash going to ASDA (or I did the other day, something cost £35.99 in GAME and £27.91 in ASDA.)
Good, I don't blame you. Gamestop is a ripoff anyway.
if only PC section in the Gamestop here wasn't made up of 3 games :colbert:
GAME and Gamestation are shit here to, they only have like a wall for new releases then a stand with all old games (in game) with like 3 for £15
I agree. (Goes to gamestop) everyone knows they do this, alot of pople take pictures with their phones of the keys, and then bingo!
I actually never knew. But now that i do, I'm half tempted to drive down to the mall tomorrow, where the pc section is thrown in a corner with the games facing the wall (so they can't see me) and put my camera phone to good use for once.
I took a game outside the store, ran arround once, and took it back. Told them what happened and said that they need better security.
Ok, I went to gamestop and snapped a code. I feel stupid not knowing what I should do with it, Id also feel bad for the person who's gonna buy the real thing
steam killed PC games at videogame stores, thats why the section is so small
Ok, I went to gamestop and snapped a code. They could return to the Gamestop and get a refund or another one with a new key.

Do they sell Episodes from Liberty City at Gamestop? >_>
I also noticed that a lot of Gamestops don't have those things at the door to beep when something is being "stolen."
steam killed PC games at videogame stores, thats why the section is so small
PC game sales as a whole are down, not just retail sales. To be honest, I dont think it's going to be much of a problem. Unless it's a multiplayer game, most people who want to steal a game will do it from the convenience of their computer.
this is cool and all getting cd keys for free, but it really sucks when your the one that buys the game only to find out that the key is already in use.
That's why I brought all the CD keys to the counter as I found them. I'm just a nice person like that. I guess you'd have to put yourself in the shoes of someone that blew 50 bucks on a copy of MW2 and got all excited only to find out the CD key was used already.
the gamestop near me packages the CD key with the disk...im glad when i got l4d1 that didnt happen.
if only PC section in the Gamestop here wasn't made up of 3 games :colbert:
I wish there were game stores around me at all.
have any fellow britfags tried GAME yet?
Wait, doesn't PC games at gamestop usually have the tape on the edges where you open it to make sure no one will open? Otherwise OP did some srs illegal activities. :colbert: [editline]04:51AM[/editline] Also, the gamestops near my house have the CDs in the cases too. For PC games. I don't know why OPs gamestop is like that unless he lives in some ghetto city or something.
Fuck, at EB Games, they keep the cases empty, they get the manual and the disk out of a locked drawer :saddowns:
Fuck, at EB Games, they keep the cases empty, they get the manual and the disk out of a locked drawer :saddowns:
That's how most stores work In Britain at least
I was in a GAME on Monday and all their ME2s had a disk and presumably manual in.
the GameStop by me has all the PC games with the disk and CD-Key and don't have them taped or wrapped up, plus most of the games are older and come in those old cardboard boxes. But the one by my parent's house has them enclosed in a plastic box to protect the actual game box.
Here the games in the shelves are just display ones without instructions or the disk, all the games are kept in the back.
thank you :3:
Haven't those guys heard of proper packaging? Games in my country are wrapped in this plastic that you have to take off if you want to open the box, so it's pretty evident when somebody already looked in the box.
good thing my country barely knows what the fuck are cd keys and how they work nowadays. just go buy a game, write down the cd-key and give it back.
I'm sooo going to a GameStop when I find out where they are stationed...
Doesn't GAME own Gamestop?
