If it was updated, it would probably have been the portal radio update if anything rather than a TF2 one.
I brought tf2 on the pc after i brought it for the xbox and the pc version is by far the best
I don't think the update would have done anything.
The update isn't coming. Microsoft won't let Valve port the content unless it's in a paid DLC pack, which Valve doesn't want to do.
t's like Valves retarded child that they DESPERATELY didn't want to have, and so now they put that child in a corner for extended periods of time.
That would be the PS3 version. Valve personally ported over the Orange Box, they even updated the engine on Hl2 that the PC has yet to even get. The situation here is Valve shot themselves in the foot for new content on the console. One part being Microsoft and the other being sheer incompetence on Valve's part. They eventually sorted it out with L4D (more like caved-in) to get the new content
Valve just plain ignores both the 360 and PS3 TF2 now and refuses to mention them in interviews. While I understand the PS3 version (being Valve selling it out to EA for money), the 360 was promised on several occasions to get new content. Valve has lied to the fanbase and now are saving face from the media by pleading the fifth

Bullshit, look at L4D. This is a technological problem stemming from the fact they can't patch the new content quickly (and you know it'll break as do all patches from Valve)
Valve is currently in progress on the 360, and will probably release it after the next class update and a few more hats.
People still play Orange Box on 360?
Don't get me wrong I'm a console gamer and I loved Half Life but the only game with real replay value in OB was TF2 and what's the point of playing TF2 on a console? Not only is it a ghost town, it also lacks the updates
some people aren't blessed with jesus computers

I know I'm not, I just suck it up and play it at 800x600, I have a fine framerate the games look so-so, in the end I'm happy.

well I'm not going to get a cheap pc that can JUST run half life 2 games, I'm going to save up for a better one. So that's why I still play the orange box on the 360
I know I'm not, I just suck it up and play it at 800x600, I have a fine framerate the games look so-so, in the end I'm happy.
Make your choice, play TF2 in 800*600 with a limited framerate on PC or in 640*480 with ultra limited framerate on Xbox.
Valve has lied to the fanbase and now are saving face from the media by pleading the fifth
They didn't lie, they had every intention of following through with those comments when they were made.
You seem to think that Valve just got lazy, not extenuating circumstances prevented them.
Personally, I'm glad Valve didn't buckle and release every free update the PC got as a microtransaction on the Xbox. Less money for Microsoft.
And if you got the game on a console, that's what happens when a PC developer has to then work in the constraints set by a console manufacturer.
To everyone complaining about the lack of stuff on the Xbox:
You try jamming that much content into one reasonably priced download. Valve have stated their biggest problem is that the new content is just too damn big.

i used to play tf2 on pc until steam said i don't have enough diskspace...13.6 GB HOW IS THAT NOT ENOUGH
hey hey hey
stop the 360 box hate
thats where i had it first
and it was a fine port

I don't even own a 360. I play all my games on the computer with the exception of some rpgs on the PS2.

Just like they didn't buckle for L4D. Valve fucked up with TF2 on the consoles and now they refuse to acknowledge their mistakes
Valve has always said put the customer first, as long as its easy and cheap for them

Nah, Valve just hate consoles (so do i), consoles have too many limits and restrictions.
Maaan, I thought there'd be some crazy new Portal 2 ARG shit going down
I used to have the OB on PC until I got a gaming PC.
THIS IS PERSONAL:
For Xbox:
No unlocks/hats (I don't like them)
No orange_x3 or whatever
Against:
everything else
The update could had been to combat the modding which is currently the new craze in the Xbox Verson...
And i was part of the community that kinda launched the mods... Untill they where given to the wrong people...

Consoles make them money, just less money than Steam because of the patch limitations. The free content is just another way to build hype and make more money.
Thought I'm sure they'll make a stand-alone version of TF2 when the updates are done to cash in on it one last time
I know I'm not, I just suck it up and play it at 800x600, I have a fine framerate the games look so-so, in the end I'm happy.
Some people have an Intel GMA 950.
Also, to make it clear, there isn't enough room on the OB disk to put more TF2 content. They are currently finding ways of fixing that and are making progress. I would buy it again if it was its own separate disk fully updated and around $20 dollars.
The lack of updates, and decent aiming ability makes the xbox version have a different game balance. I hate when PC players decide that it's a shitty game, just because they like PC games better. Some of the most fun I've ever had on TF2 was on the xbox, because the whole game is vanilla. I'm not saying it should ever be the ONLY version of TF2, but it's a great great game on the xbox.

Although the OB as a whole was a dumb idea. They put 5 games on one disk, now they can't add TF2 updates because there's no more room in the limit. Also you can but portal from the marketplace for the same price as the whole game.

They should make it DLC only. Like they did with portal.
