That's the joke :downs:
Only Band Hero was never called Rock Band.

I was ironically pointing out how Band Hero is ripping of Rock Band, as if that can be done with the current rhythm games.
Thank the gaming gods Harmonix isn't doing this to us.
Yeah, if Harmonix thought like Activision, they would probably make something like LEGO Rock Band LOL! :downs:
What is Band Hero? From what I heard, it's basically Guitar Hero 5 but with different songs. Whats Activision thinking? First they come up with DJ Hero and now this?
My word, I do say it is indefinitely cOLD in here.
Yeah, if Harmonix thought like Activision, they would probably make something like LEGO Rock Band LOL! :downs:
Lego Rock Band actually has different features. It's not just "Beat the song and unlock cities" game.

What. How is this old.
We all knew about Band Hero since World Tour came out, and none of us cared about it.

.
Would you like to explain these? Last time I checked it was nothing different from Rock Band except the people are Lego people and the notes are bricks.
Look at the site, it's a bunch of pop shit aimed at kids probably
I want to murder them
you're a little too late, they already did this with guitar hero, and they're doing it with rockband, and now there's hardly a difference between guitar hero and rock band.
not really, nows the part where if they make any more they basically blow it.
like THPS was good up till underground (THPS 5?)
so GH will be fine till GH5.
o wait, thats what they're on now :buddy:

THE NEWEST INSTALLMENT IN ACTIVISION'S LONG LINE OF MUSIC GAME FAILURES.
/caps
GH1 is better
People saying the Rock Band franchise is just as bad as Guitar Hero makes me feel weird. Guitar Hero used to be made by Harmonix, then Activision bought the series from Harmonix. Harmonix made 2 Guitar Heros, then wen't on to make the Rock Band games. Which there are about 3 out, 5 if you count Beatles and Lego Rockband.
Then over in Guitar Hero world, there's about 7?
I wouldn't count rock band unplugged as a Rock band...

Not counting 1, 2 and 80's (i think harmonix made rock the 80's before leaving it)
You got'chur
Guitar Hero 3's (released 10/28/07)
Guitar Hero Aerosmith's (released 06/29/08) [that's not even a year passed btw]
Guitar Hero World Tour's (released 10/26/08) [2 days from a year since 3 was released]
Guitar Hero Metallica's (released 03/29/09) [5 months or so]
Guitar Hero Smash Hits's's's (released 06/16/09) [3 months or so]
Guitar Hero 5's (releases 09/01/09) [3 months again]
Band Hero's (releases 11/03/09) [2 months, and yes, it's activision]
Guitar Hero Van Halen's (releases 12/22/09) [1 month from previous game]
there's also 3 guitar hero games for the DS, but i cant be assed to look them up
Let us do a tally of Rock Band now (no counting 1 and 2 I guess)
Rock Band (Released 11/20/07) [1 month after guitar hero 3, for the record]
Rock Band 2 (Released 09/14/08) [almost a year, but not quite]
Rock Band: Unplugged (psp) (released 06/09/09) [less than the time from the last one, although this is quite different, being a psp game]
The Beatles: Rock Band (releases 09/09/09) [About a year from the previous game)
Lego Rock Band (releases 11/03/09) [more than a year from the last big [numbered] release]
Rock Band 3 (releases Q4 2010) [not much known as of yet]
I added the release dates of each game to show how spread apart the releases are. This was a learning experience for myself.
TOTALS
guitar hero: 11
rock band : 6

Kinda hard to explain. You gotta watch the trailers or interviews. So far, by playing a certain amount of songs, you build up cars to get to places. You can demolesh buildings by being awesome at rock band. Thats all I know so far. Watch the trailers/interviews first before posting.
Band Hero will be rated E10 and feature Top 40 hits aimed at family audiences
I have seen all the trailers, thats why I asked you if I missed some revolutionary aspect that makes the game so unique. What's so unique about the "demolition" challenge? You play good enough, and you win. The demolition is just a video playing in the background. So?
My point is, people attack Activision for oversaturating the GH brand name (and I don't disagree with this), but people think Harmonix are the holy saints of music video games. LEGO Rock Band is ruining the RB name just like Band Hero is to the GH name.

lego rock band is not a problem its when you get spin offs of a spin off
if harmonix releases lego rock band: megadeth or something like that then thats a problem
Something that is entirely activision's fault and everyone still hates on EA.
blame EA for everything
I can't wait for tuba hero
Can't wait to play 'You've got the best of both world' by Hanna montana guys! That's going to be awesome !!!!1oneone!!!11!
Hey guys, what do you think the next Guitar Hero gonna be?

He is showing that Activision is milking the series. I don't know what it means but people say it alot.

You think the amount of games Rock Band has compares to the amount Activision has made?
When Harmonix starts releasing a new game every 2 months I might agree with you.
Yea, I heard about this. I think it covers all music genre's like you'll have 5 of metal, etc.
Band Hero will be rated E10 and feature Top 40 hits aimed at family audiences
Pretty sure that a lot of the top 40 are explicit, but okay.

It's when they keep making games of it when there's not much left to improve, or if it is dying.
:bravo:
