Oh that, i remember some wow developer was interviewed about how you will be able to cleanse stratholme and get access to source of great evil in there that lies somewhere nearby. Something in that lines, it was sometime before WoW was launched. They promised a proper racing track in shimmering flats where you could bet with gold and also support your chosen team for them to win and that was never added to the game too.
