Finally got the hang of flying the Bf-109. Did some strafing runs on a French occupied town with a few other planes, then got downed by some AA fire. I'm considering getting this game.
Strafing in a 109 is not the smartest idea. The 109 is not a ground support it's an interceptor. Since your probably flying the 109e you should get as high as that plane can go. Then bounce the EA below you.

Enemy Aircraft.
It won't detect my joystick for some reason. Edit: Nevermind I fixed it. Fuck everything else, I LOVE FLYING!
WOOT MY TRACKIR IS WORKIN
Got my first two kills earlier. Dive bombed an AA gun with a Stuka. Then either got shot down or tried to make a turn with too little air speed. It was awesome :v:.
I played as a Flak 28 and downed 6 planes
Heh. Sometimes in this game a successful mission doesn't necessarily mean kill.
And that's what's awesome. Yesterday I played for like six or seven hours straight. Killed probably 5 enemies, capped one point. Died a gazillion times. Still, I had the most fun I've had playing a game in a while. The people were great, we did some succesful missions and nothing in a game compares to the feeling when a mission is succesful. Simply put, a great game. I'm hooked. :D Tried paradropping more extensively yesterday, it was awesome! Epic quotes on the plane before we dropped. eg. Newbie Para 1: "Is this a low or high altitude drop?" More experienced para: "It doesn't matter if it's low or high altitude. You'll still be dead withing 10 seconds of hitting the ground. Epic night time drop into Sechault(which we conquered after a day of fighting, eat that frenchies!) A paradrop into St. Truiden. Unfortunately I died just before my feet hit the ground. :D
TrackIR is awesome.
TrackIR is awesome.
What's that?
www.trackir.com
Meh, i don't want to pay £75 for that when i can just use the built in look-around thing on my joystick.
Dammit, trial's run out and I can't really be stuffed to set up another. I'll subscribe once I can actually afford it, though.

But i've been playing it today :-) for about 2.5 hours. Must be a glitch, probobly pay for the month and then pay monthly once the graghics update is in. But i'll wait till my free trial ends.
I wonder why I only succesfully kill enemies when I'm slowly bleeding to death. :D
Yay i love mg 42 :D Mowed some french and british people at their HQ. Also did alot of covering fire and suppressing fire.
Uh Comparing this and HL2: E1 doesn't work. And er they didn't have light armour. They had something called "clothes".
It would sure be a silly war without those.
It would sure be a silly war without those.
I love hearing new guys talk about the game I have been in since the first iteration of beta:-) All the vets are glad to show you the game and this is probably the most newbie friendly game on the net. Keep killing em and welcome aboard! Edit:
My trial should have ran out yesterday, i even had an email on wednesday to say that i had 2 days left. You must cancel your account as in all online games. I hope this is not a problem. Email Bloo@playnet.com and explain, but..odds are you are not playing for free.
Wow this game is epic. I didn't really know you could fly from one side of Europe to the other all without loading times! Anyway, it's really great. I'm still at the first rank though, only at 35 points or something. My first few hours of the game was spent mucking about with the controls and various types of vehicles.

It's almost like Forgotten Hope 2 + IL-2 + Red Orchestra = This immensely epic game. Also, driving anything is such because I have no idea how to properly operate the gears and such.
That's the location of the alps. No cities or towns down there at the moment though. But as soon as U:II is finished at towns are a whole lot easier to make then we will expect some pretty awesome mountain battles. Just go to your map and find the squares in the pic haha whoops forgot about my dual monitor.
Jesus Christ, why must this game be so bleeding expensive?
It's not that expensive really considering the content you get for the 15 bucks a month.
10 euro a month expensive? Would be great if it was 5. alot more people would play. I still wonder what the dev team does with the money. There's not much progress and they get bucket loads of money weekly from builders project and subscription.
Back in the day we used to fly to the alps then land on them for fun!

I didn't take up the trial untill they stopprd asking for it as i have no intention of giving them my details. I will pay by papal when i can't logon to the game but all the time i can get into the game for free i'll carry on. I can't see it lasting long, can only assume with large numbers of people taking up the 2 week trial since they stopped asking for credit card details means that it's difficult to keep track of every account. If i get a couple of extra free days i'll not complain though.
Back in the day we used to fly to the alps then land on them for fun!
Me and a bunch of squad mates a while ago went to the alps in Havocs. We climbed up a hill, stalled because we thought we were flying level and crashed into the side lol

They dont make a lot of money. this a very ninche game and there are only about 12 rats. China getting a version to run themselve may make them some money..I hope.15 USD is not a lot of money.
