Actually China is going to be playing on a seperate server.
PRC requirement that Chinese need a separate server. BUT with the size of the MMO market in China CRS is probably going to get a good amount of money from this.
Chinese players also have an anti-addiction program built into the game. After playing continually for 2 hours the game automatically shuts off.
Their version of the game is going to be a lot different then the version you're playing.
Oh crap it's only 2 hours? Yeah they'll have to do a lot of things differently for THAT patch... you and I both know it's easy to spend 30 - 60 minutes on one sortie :=)
Yeah. Average para drop sortie probably lasts 30 minutes.
Is this game very strategic? Like you get to join a division, a squad and the like?

Squads are the same as clans, but TOE allows Divisions, Brigades movments etc. Missions are created by individuals with rank, but High Commands control the placement of AOs, which allow that city to be captured and can funnel Divisions and BDEs into thet area and out by movment commands. There is an AAR further back in this thread that shows how the HCs control the overall movments and individuals control the fine tuning of captures. There is a depth to this beyond the guy alone.
Page 19..14 down has the AAR from the Commander of Allied High Command.

I tried to read that, but all the acronyms made me cringe.
Can you write it without them?

Command.
Fixed.
What he said is that there are squads (clan / guild ) Division and people that do the strategic part. A Division can be moved to another city or town. when that happens you can spawn as that Division in that town.
Okay, I downloaded the trial and started playing.
I entered a truck, but my weapon doesn't appear any more. Whelp? I can shoot and "scope", but the weapon isn't there.

Press either N or L.
If that doesn't work just ask all the friendly guys over the help channel

I did, but it appears it's something with Nvidia.
Is that possible? I had the gun before I entered the truck, but not afterwards.

That's really weird that's never happened to me before.
You ask over the help channel?

Yeah, they said it was a bug.
I restarted the game, and it works now. I haven't entered any vehicle yet (mainly because I get killed too fast...)
Still does sound like you had free look on.
You can remove the weapon with the L key and most keys are toggles. Always ask for help on the F5 channel. When you select a mission, hit the f2 key (objective channel) and ask about being recruited by a sqaud. You will be in one in a moment and using F4 channel(sqaud) you can learn much faster and enjoy yourself more. N key is free mouse look and it also toggles.

Ah, N key did it. Thanks.
EDIT: nevermind, it didn't.
This game isn't really that fun. I've been playing for 5 hours and haven't gained a single exp point.
more than likely you're either not fighting at the right target
Edit:
(sorry for the double post) or you're not taking the right approach to playing
1) fight near a busy town or firebase
2) play like you want to live forever. play to kill, but don't risk yourself too much. this isn't battlefield 1942.
And don't be a Rambo
You can take like 2 bullets max
Another uneventful day as a German soldier. Hung around a town for a bit, no kills of course.
What the...? I didn't post that spam about 'LOL THIS GAME SUX LOL'. I was on vacation. I came back this afternoon.

Join a squad before you judge the game. This thing has a huge learning curve and is one of the most newbie freindly games you will find on the net. Let a squad take you on a para drop or get you into a battle. New and alone is no way to play at first.

It's ok.
Whoever did post it had no idea what he/she was talking about.

It gets fun as soon as you unlock the other weapons. Right after getting to rank 3 i got alot of kills with the lmg. I think lmg is the most fun infantry weapon to use. Bren is not as nice, but mg 37 is awesome.
Anyone know where to find a good guide, where to hit a tank with atr?
Anyone know where to find a good guide, where to hit a tank with atr?
I'll look.
What side do you play?
Anyone know where to find a good guide, where to hit a tank with atr?
People told me to look for the sapper guide. found it at one point but lost it again...damn.
The guide is extremely well made. It shows all the weak spots for both sides.
Ugh, you guys are going to hate me for this, but I really don't like this game.
I'm sure there are a lot of people that do, but I just don't. I'm getting frustrated by getting killed in 1 shot whenever I least expect it.
And the bug I get when quitting a vehicle at times. And the fact I need a joystick to fully enjoy it.

Did you join a squad?
Did you join a squad?
Nah, I haven't had time yet. I have been working my ass off for most of the day at school.
How should I ask them? Should I just ask "Hey guys, can I join a squad?" or should I do it differently?
EDIT: squad doesn't solve the joystick and gun problems, though.

Yeah..just ask..and if you are allied, the BKB will join you up. What is the JS problem. If it is the throttle..you need to map it in the keymapper because WW2 doesnt auto detect throttles. Under General..find gas and throttle...then move your throttle till it is recognized. If it is because you have a USB keyboard Sgtspoon's sticky in the help forum windows has a fix..requirres you remove an offending HID driver. Those KB install a huge number of non needed ones.

You are feeling the frustration from the learning curve and no one is exagerating when we say it is steep. Before you give up..join a squad..let them or bkb help you with your JS problem and then take you on missions.
Do you play allied and if so..what is your ingame name
Do you play allied and if so..what is your ingame name
Clarck. Don't ask why, I just took the Clarck shotgun from BF2142.

If you play allied..use the f2 objective or f5 help channel and ask for BKB. We will be glad to show you around. We dont have numbers at this time of day but if you are free, join now and we will recruit you.
