Yeah that's not really much for what you're getting.
Hm, I might as well try it.
I want to try the trial but I don't want to fucking pay. Looks like a really good game. Finally what I was looking for, a huge map, lots of people, mmofps, and one shot kills.

You don't have to pay for the free trial just need to put in a card number
I asked one of the devs a little bit ago why they took out the month trial without needing a credit card and he said it was because some people created alt accounts to spy on the other side. So now you need a credit card to prevent the exploit.
I had never thought of that.
Those Nazi bastards :argh:
I love this, esp when we get to invade England, all the boats and air come into play!!
This game is pretty awesome, I tried it out along time ago with the free trial.
Also, if you do try the trial REMEMBER TO DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT after the 14 days is up, they will start tacking on monthly fees.

God I love BoB! They're my favorite!
They don't last long though unfortuantly :(. Ground guys complain they don't get to do anything and blah blah blah
CS sucks, there's no skill involved, and I'm more mature than you, blindly defending a piece of shit that's always sucked.
Took that at an alt of 4.5 km. I think the D.520 has a max ceiling of 8km.
No. Really no. There are MUCH better free/one time payment games. This game would be interesting as free game, but monthly fee is not a way for me.
Also: IL2 sturmovik is much better WW2 aircaft simulator, and there are many other games which can cover the rest. This is like not too much good mix of WW2 games packed into one expensive pile of shit.

It's a free game. It just costs money to play online.
You can download it and try it offline but to play in the live server you need to pay.
If there was no monthly fee, how do you suppose the company gets their money then?

It may be better, but IL2 sturmovik's flight models run off of a flight table. WWIIOL runs off of flight physics not a table. To be honest whenever I fly in IL2 it feels like my plane is on rails.
It's not that expensive and this is the ONLY game that puts all of the elements together. You will NOT find another game like WWIIOL.
My friend once gave me like a 2 month invite your friend Christmas thing, it was fun until a virus took over my computer, i might try this again.
I think he would meant put ads in the game.

I don't know. Something about looking at a billboard for "AXE bodyspray" in war-torn France doesn't feel right to me.
I don't know. Something about looking at a billboard for "AXE bodyspray" in war-torn France doesn't feel right to me.
Exactly!
Part of the purpose of this game is to try and make you feel immersed. Seeing an AXE bodyspray billboard in the middle of war torn France isn't exactly what you would call immersive.

I always found that very interesting even though I've never played a second of it.

Yeah it's pretty cool.
Especially since the allies just kicked axis ass in the north. We routed a bunch of divisions which will be in training for a while :). Hopefully while those brigades are in training we can set a foothold in the north and start advancing in the south.

"Teamwork is very important. It gives the enemy someone else to shoot at"
I tried it out once. I couldn't really get into it to be honest. Which I hate, because I'm always hearing these awesome stories about it.

GREEN LIGHT, GO GO GO!
Man the 22nd Mech was awesome, we did that on a paratrooper mission once. The plane got hit in the wing when 8 had come out of the plane. 9 died in the crash. We took Diest with some help from our ground troops that moved in during the panic of us jumping.
I ran into the Curch tower, and killed a german sniper. I then reconed the area for my squad.
Took 20 minutes (due to a unexpected Panzer tank and a extra company of germans)
Man the game can be awesome sometimes. I mean when we were above the town the FLAK guns could be heard just beside the door.
The big paradrop missions with 30-40 planes and some 50 paratroopers are just awesome. The germans just hit everything they can. Lorries can be heard when you land in a bush, since they go look for you. I mostly did Recon as a paratrooper during my 3-month trial period..
If you do the free trial, do you still need to pay for the download?
Edit:
I mean, even when you finish it and you want to continue your account.

Nope the game is free the account is the one that costs money.

So, let's say you finish the trial. Do you need to pay the :20bux: to upgrade the account or do you simply continue on as usual with the 15bux monthly?

Pretty sure you just have to pay the $15 monthly.
Pretty sure you just have to pay the $15 monthly.
Cool, cause I can't justify the :20bux: to my parents cause I just got cortex command, though I can justify the 15.

Yeah the fields look tiny..but it's massive as infantry! One field takes like 30 seconds to a minute to cross or something? I can't beleve i made kills camping with a rifle.

Field only look tiny because I'm about 5km above 'em :v:
Ashes, you need to contact me ingame. I play allies, usually as a french paratrooper or british rifleman. Galenus5. Maybe you can teach me how to fly a plane and such.
Edit:
My joystick won't work, and it's an advanced flight one, so I don't know what the problem is. It's a Saitek X45, so if anyone knows what the problem is, tell me god dammit.
Cause people are crying for air support and I can never get into the fray as infantry, always getting sniped by people with perfect aim from 900 yards.
Edit:
Hah, I can fly now, I made my epic joystick work. :D
How exactly do these big missions happen? It seems that with a game like this the only way for such a thing to work is if people are in clans (or squads as I think the game calls them that).

There's brigades and missions are set by the brigade leader, and brigades are concrete, there forever.
People join into the brigade temporarily and complete objectives set by the current commander. People say what they need in brigade chat.

^ What he said.
But you can also do squad operations with whatever squad you join. I guess you could call that a clan :P. The key to a successful operation is organization and teamwork.
