Heheh actually that's Fw190 from last campaign.
And yes that's typically how you fight in the Axis planes. Unfortuantly being a recruit your stuck with extremely underpowered rides until about tier 4 when recruits are able to fly the Spitfire Mk5.
You need to be tier 5 to fly a Spitfire Mk :(
You need to be tier 5 to fly a Spitfire Mk :(
You need rank 5, right now :)
Once the RDP tier cycle has reached cycle 4 recruits can fly the spit 5. Unfortunately with the way the map looks right now we might not see tier 3. Then you guys can play with all the toys in intermission!
And yes, squidird is a girl and a badass AAA gunner at that. She's saved my ass countless times. Plus that squidird comic cracks me up every time I see it
True, she's pretty damn good at the AAA guns. We were playing together, I had an anti-tank rifle, she had an AAA gun.
We managed to hold off 3 panzers and 5 focke wulfes on our own. It was awesome.
Sweet!
Rank bug is finally getting fixed!

What's that?
What's that?
Rank bug was a "feature" that came with 1.28. What happened is you would get a kill get rank points and next sortie when you looked at your rank it would either be the same as it was before you got the points or you would lost a bunch. As a LW pilot I lost about 50 rank points which I should hopefully be getting back.

Is it normal that if I rank up with my Private Clarck that the two others also rank up?
For example: rank 1 British soldier, rank 1 French soldier, rank 1 Axis soldier. I rank up to lvl 2 with the Axis one, my two others also rank up. Is this a feature or a bug?
It's a feature.

Feature.
It stops at rank 5 though. For example I'm rank 10 in the RAF but rank 6 in the ADA/LW.
Can't...Stop...Playing.
Tier 3 is in!!!!!
The 109G is just so awesome, just pulling the trigger and watching the guy in front
of you just explode is great.

Yeah that 30mm cannon is a monster.
A monster to control as well.
Yep, it flies like a brick.
Yep, it flies like a brick.
Not necassarily like a brick.
The Hawk 87 flies like a brick.
The 109g6 flies like an overweight 109f. Not as maneuverable and you gotta be careful with it. People hate the plane but love the gun

There are no firebases in between those two towns! This is going to make for some EPIC battles! More updates on Friday!!!!
And a sunset over Grave (notice the new bridge and buildings)!

made by one of the best AAA gunners in-game.
Heh, trial was fun. I'll download another one after the exams and then I might actually pay for the summer. :)
Oh my jesus, this game looks extremely fun. I just downloaded it and will be making an account ASAP. Can you guys give me a few suggestions as to what to do first, what will get me in the know how with the game. I was thinking of making a Sniper, he won't be part of the squad but he will be traveling deep into enemy territory killing high ranking players and then silently hiding again. I'm not really interested in flying planes or driving tanks. Will this work, or is it just wishful thinking?

You need to be level 5 to play as a sniper.
I say you join a paratrooper squad and get in deep and hard behind enemy lines. That's what I do. And going solo isn't a good idea. You're going to need somebody to cover your sorry ass if you get in trouble.
And paratroopers get satchel charges, which means you have more chance of surviving a tank.

hmm well.... then I recommend you use the basic rifleman.
First thing you should do is get acquainted with your controls; specifically, the 'prone' 'crouch' 'sprint' 'walk' and 'adjust range up//down' buttons. The latter two will increase//decrease the range setting on your rifle. The gun itself won't actually animate to show a difference in range, but you'll hear the telltale 'click' of the sights being adjusted + you'll see a text message appear in your chat bar. Default range is 200 meters.
After that, I recommend you take a buddy to the training server and get some rifle time in. Start off with the sniper rifle so you get an idea of how infantry look when they are concealed in bushes (i.e. ALMOST invisible , but there are typically little differences you can pick out that will give them away). Once you're comfortable with the sniper rifle, switch to the REGULAR rifle.
The standard rifleman - and PERHAPS the anti-tank rifleman - are probably superior to the sniper for a few reasons:
1) regular rifleman carries more ammo. a LOT more.
2) rifleman carries HE grenades and smoke grenades.
3) anti-tank rifleman (ATR) will always produce a one-shot kill
4) ATR is more difficult to aim because your range of movement is limited while deployed (and deploying//undeploying does slow you down, as does the stamina loss after you fire), but the shots travel considerably quicker than the regular rifle bullet... meaning you don't have to lead your shots nearly as much. A SLIGHT lead at medium to long range should produce a kill.
5) the ATR is also an effective anti-vehicle weapon against panzer3f/3h, 232, pz2c, any AT gun/AA gun, halftracks, and trucks.
Once you've gotten a little practice in, and you're comfortable with the rifleman, head to the live server.
Start out just by defending a town. Look at where the enemy firebase(s) is/are on the map, draw a line between the FB and town, and you can get a rough idea of where the enemy infantry will be coming in from. If they use a mobile spawn point (MSP), draw a line between the MSP and the town and you can also get an idea of the route they'll be using to approach the town.
Then just park yourself somewhere along - or flanking - that route and watch for the lemmings to run in front of you and pick 'em off.
Once you get good at identifying and killing enemy infantry, THEN you can go behind enemy lines and start picking them off way before they get to their target.
As to how to find the better players... well honestly I can't tell you that one. I'm decent with a rifle, but I'm no expert. That one you'll have to learn with experience.
Good luck!
S!

PS
If anyone's looking for a little flight training, meet me on the training server SUNDAY MORNINGS @ 0900 US EST (9am east coast US) as I run a training class on the TS at that time.
