You should totally play Axis, otherwise do whatever you want.

I did get the mail, but can't login. Kinda stupid i got the mail then.
HURRR Well got the game about an hour ago, logged in and started a paratrooper mission , waited in the plane for about 20 minutes then DIE DIE DIE DIE. So first impressions are not that good but if anyone has any guides/ tips to make my experience more enjoyable I would appreciate that.
Well this is wierd, my 2 week trial expired yet I'm still able to play.
I wonder if they will ban me for playing and not paying.

Looks a bloody good game actually, hoping to get in a squad pretty quick though, I don't feel like trecking a few thousand Ks across Europe on my own, haha.
I'm guessing it's like WoW with the Horde (Axis) and Alliance (Allies) thing were the horde vastly outnumber the alliance?

Basically, my start consisted of getting completely trampled over by the axis, and loosing a point. THEN when I went into another game I wandered around trying to find whatever it is I was supposed to do, before being shot by some random guy I couldn't actually see.

you're going to go through the game with similar experiences like that. Typically when you get killed, your not going to look around and see who killed you. But it sounds like your lone wolfing it. Just ask over the help channel (F6) you're a new player and looking for a squad to join. I think it's F6 anyway...
How does a Spit 5 compare to a 109? I can't stand having bloody 109's turning around on a ball.
Also, what level do you need to fly the spit 9 as soon as it becomes availible?

Spit 5 is good turning plane. Just need to put out some flaps and it will turn on a dime.
To fly the spit 9 you need to have rank 5 when it becomes available. Eventually it will go down to rank 3 but that's depending on if this campaign will last long enough.
This game sounds pretty intense. I'm getting my credit card in a few weeks. How playable is this with only a mouse and keyboard?
Oh, and are the sides at least kinda balanced? Planetside was terrible at launch... there was NC, VS, and then TR ZERGFARCE. (Even though NC rocked Emerald through most of beta, lol. Gotta love the Vanguard)
