I can't fly. Since i don't know where to go to fly, the squads tend to be assholes. can't find planes, aren't high level enough.

Alright. Start up the game and select the airforce persona of your choice. For instance I click the German Airforce. Then double click on a brigade that doesn't have a grey box next to it and once you are in that brigade you can double click missions. Hold your mouse over planes to see what level you are and what level you need to be to fly them. Also, flying fighters at this stage isn't too good for recruits. Good planes all require a high level. I think it would be better if you tried level bombing with blens in the RAF or FAF.

Woot! I'm finally a fully fledged member of JG11. Me and Ram1us just smashed a ton of spitfires, hurricanes and havoks whilst barcapping bertrix. He got two ace missions in a row (5 kills a mission) and I got 2 kills over the two missions. I'm still learning my guns in the 190 so it's better than the past few days.

I suck at everything else flying other than flying a stuka. I'll just wait for campaign 51 to start, then I can go head to head with people flying the same tier planes as me (I'm rank 3 in Luftwaffe, I'm just better at controlling slower planes).

If you like going head to head then you're going to love the 109G-6/U4. Also, you just have to use what your plane is good at against other planes. I kicked a Hawk 87's ass in my Ju-87 a couple of days back.

Haha, just barcapped Antwerp during the massive attack up north and got an autopiloting Hawk81 at 4k and another autopiloting Spitfire MkIXc at 4k. Oh it's fun smashing up people that have no clue your there. I'm going to start making .gif's of me slamming EA when barcapping again.

I got a new screenie today. Went barcapping for the first time by myself using tactics I've learned flying with JG11. Got this autopiloting spits pilot but after 20 cannon rounds he was still intact. Nice shooting. I'm sticking on Axis for now because I just love their guns.

Oh awesome! I just did what Tempest said (Tempest is a squadie in JG11) and now rudder are actually useable in 109's and 190's!. I bound my rudder trim to the axis I use for rudder and I can actually pull deflection at high speeds now.

Is this game better than IL-2?

IL2 uses a table based flight model this game uses a physics based flight model. There's also the fact that IL2 is just a flight simulator. WWIIOL is everything in one.

It seems I'm now Tempest's protege. He taught me how to deal with Hawk87's and I guess that means Hawk81's in a 109F-4 today. I've now pretty sure how to nail one.

By the way, my name ingame name is Metalkid, and I'm in Kampfgruppe Wiking (KGW), and I always play as Axis. As some of you may know, St. Truiden was conquered by us (ze Germans) today. I don't know if you were with or against us, but toro15 decided to start up a massive panzer attack, and I joined him again (against my previeous experience of him leading us into an ambush...). We were about 30 Panzer IV G's - a quite mighty attack. While engaging we met quite large resistance, even though I didn't see anything, we lost a lot of tanks moving in on the town. Toro then had a CTD, but we went on. I encountered many AT guns, who took shots at my frontal amour before I killed them with my MG, but I only encountered one vickers amoured car counting as anything on wheels. I ended up getting seven kills, but only eight points. I had to go missing in action after all my crewmembers got killed, exept my MG gunner, because I was hit 30+ times with thoose pansy 6 pounders. I had to minimize my game everytime I took a screenshot. That is why you're missing some shots from the finale. I heard someone filmed the whole thing, so it's coming on youtube. EDIT: Why the hell are AA and AT guns worth so little in points? I've killed about 30 today, and I have only gotten one points for each when flying or driving. They do get you a lot of points if you kill them with your mortar, and they're still soft targets that way.
