He secretly had lung cancer, and in an effort to save his family he spoke to one of his students. They started cooking meth together to get money. That's how he became a super hunter. If you paid attention, you would have known.

Besides, him being an infected makes sense if you look back at how much damage he took during the Hive Fight. Furthermore, when the infected jumps over the fence, you should note that he already appears highlighted by the infected's vision. Also, the sound made is not that of a Supreme Hunter, but of an Advanced Infected (fast zombies I like to call 'em). And if it was something like the Supreme Hunter, don't you think he would have run instead of drawing his baton over the dirt?[/sp]
[sp]If you ask me I think The Specialist is the child of Elizabeth Greene, PARIAH. Of course I might be wrong, I haven't really gotten all the WoI nodes yet so, there are still some blanks.[/sp]

And everyone was sort of highlighted. I thought the same thing myself. I'm guessing it was a fast one too but I'm guessing that's the particular battle where it showed up. And in the web of intrigue somewhere, PARIAH is said to be like Elizabeth in that it doesn't age, and has stayed as a child indefinitely[/sp]
[sp]Is there a mod to change your EP? I don't want to bomb bases and shoot water towers anymore, I want to play with new powers.[/sp]
This was thoroughly discussed and agreed upon in the last thread.
I didn't read the spoilers in the last one due to the fact that I only got the game a week ago.

Ughhh... Thats it, I'm starting a new game+. I can't do anything without an overpowered strike team shitting all over my fun. I can't even run away from them while they are 2 buildings behind me, sniping me with rockets. I liked it better when they went down with one air-conditioning unit to the cockpit or one fully charged wipfist. Here is an idea I had brewing in my head for a while; after you beat the game, a new option appears in the pause menu. Its lets you change the game world to the way it was during specific missions. Like a slider that goes from 1-31, 31 being the way it is normally after the story is done. Depending on the number you choose, the bases will have different levels of security and the tanks and helicopters will have more or less health. And hives and bases would be placed in the spots they where based on the mission number you pick. Sigh, but I can dream... Does anyone know off-hand which mission places the viral detectors in every base? I plan on stopping one mission before that one.
Dammit, alll the cutscenes and memories get ruined, the sound randomly stops every 2 seconds. Its like sound on-off-on-off-on-off with intervals of 2 secs. Anyway to fix?
Eh, I gamefly'd it, but it wasn't really good. It was fun, yeah, but it got old at the end. I'm on a couple of missions to the end, and I just don't feel like beating it.
I guess I'm one of the few people who are still addicted to this game

Or just get the cannonball attack beleive me it is tons more powerful then the air kick. Of course combine your normal combat attacks with muscle mass for ful effect. on a side note did any of you posted before that you can destroy a base(or hive) with just bulletdiveing on them several times?
lol this game is better known as
Wasn't it the same developer

How do you aim your bullet dives? I can't seem to
How do you aim your bullet dives? I can't seem to
You can't
Beat the final boss, that was really annoying. Would have been better if all of the helicopters didn't constantly shoot missiles at me. [sp]Does it ever say what happened to the guy who knew the disarm code? Did he get consumed by Alex? Did he die?[/sp]
I just use musclemass and throw cars at it.
I used to do that but they shoot so many rockets at you after the story is done they knock it right out of your hand. And as far as hiding from them in an alley goes, I like being able to screw around in this game, but not when I have to stop to hide in a corner for 15-20 seconds while I wait for the strike team to disappear. I'll give you another example of how much I hate helicopters: Just today I was trying to do a military consume mission, one where you race to each different target. After getting the first guy, a near by helicopter saw me and he and his friends chased me, then they, the helicopters, called in a strike team of 3 more helicopters. Explosions knocking me down left and right and I finally get to my next target and a helicopter blows him up. >:( I don't know how you guys aren't rageing as much as I am about these annoying whirly-bird buggers, but I envy you.

As for why you weren't able to disarm the bomb, maybe he really didn't know the code? Maybe he planned ahead, so that once the bomb was set even he (or alex using his memory) would be able to stop it. It could have been a last resort, no-turning-back type of thing
alyx
lol half-life
I don't know how you guys aren't rageing as much as I am about these annoying whirly-bird buggers, but I envy you.
After fighting them off for so long, I've realized their attack patterns. There will usually be three copters at the most. Since they're so noticable on the mini-map, just watch for the ones that seem to fly off. Those ones will fire the rockets at you. Additionally, use the jump-kick-grab on one so you can eliminate the group quickly. Hell, I've even eliminated strikes with a single well placed air tendril barrage. However, if you simply want to outrun them, run using short jumps combined with continuous air dashes.
Geezus fucking shit cock ass piss tits fuck dick. Bosses in this game suck complete and total ass. The whole setup they have is just so God damn dumb it makes me rage (as can be seen). Just beat the game, had fun up to the first encounter with the Super Hunter and then it went down the fucking hill. Fuck this games bosses. At least that's one game I can write off as beaten.
That was an easy boss

The only thing that made the final boss hard was the time limit.
I can't make Prototype work with my ps3 controller on PC. Any ideas?
