Im not sure where you see the difference
Rating would be giving a seperate rating for every aspect of a game, me thinks.
FP has way too many review sites.
Interesting. I see that us at "The Facepunch Review Database" are going to have some competition.
No competition. We are operating in 2 different fields. In all respect to Facepunch, our site isn't being built off of it. A lot of our staff though has been from FP or comes from FP itself so we figured to let the community know of our site.
I do encourage the FP Review Database writers however to take a look into our site. We are hiring and reviewers can get review copies of games. I ask however that you do not apply under the idea of free games but instead a general passion for writing and gaming itself.
Well ive been reading all the comments here, and let me tell you all this fight about "HURRRR COMPETITION" is pointless, just look at the great sites like Kotaku, Gameinformer, Rock paper shotgun, etc .They just do their jobs because they like it.
So stop all this arguing, i see you 2 "sites" dont have ties with each other so stop this useless fighting and be friends, and always try to improve you will always get better with practice, so dont worry.
I want to let in clear im neutral , im not on everyone side...or better said, im on everyone side...so please if you just dont like a certain thing, just ignore it, dont make worst for everybody

Well that's an interesting aspect on things. We've operated under "If you have the game, send in a review to the editors, we'll sharpen up grammar, and it's posted". I might actually apply, allows for much more versatility I guess, especially when you don't have the games that you'd like to review.
Well ive been reading all the comments here, and let me tell you all this fight about "HURRRR COMPETITION" is p*ssing me off, first off, everyone is free to do what the heck they want, and focus your efforts into getting better and not fighting against the "competition", just look at the great sites like Kotaku, Gameinformer, Rock paper shotgun, etc . They are not constantly throwing shit at each other, they just do their jobs because they like it.
So stop all this arguing, if you dont want to support the others its ok, but dont be a complete as*hole about the others, if you dont like them just do the right thing, ignore them...like i always say, "you like it or not there will always somebody better than you, thats why you need to push yourself to improve and focus on your habilities"
This are only my 0.02$, if you agree with me, its cool, if you dont, i dont give a f*ck...
Way to take everything out of proportion. It was just a simple statement. I'm cool with this site and I might even apply. I was just noting how there is 2 different sites operating off of what I assumed to be Facepunch. Now I know that the systems are different.

Now how would one go about applying?

ahaha sorry again mate. and good luck with your project
I should probably note that we have a deal with GamersGate by which we can get anything from them, we are also in great standing with a lot of Indie Devs and a few of the big PR companies (Who manage the big games).
I have a few well written reviews for some games but I cannot get motivated to write more, even for "free games" (as long as I do my job). I have a hard time writing anything because I have to love every single aspect of it otherwise I just get stuck and never complete it.
This sucks while being in Journalism and Creative Writing.
Hello fine Sirs and Ladies,
