for some reason, my brother can log onto offline survival without paying for it. he logs in and it says some kind of error, and clicks play offline, and he can play survival. i play on a separate account that has payed. why?

If you use the same computer this is possible. When you first play the game the files get downloaded onto your computer. Once you've done that you can use any account to play offline survival on your computer.

If you purchase the game after December 20'th, you will have to also purchase the extra game modes that will be released in the future. If you bought the game before the 20'th of December, you're fine and wont have to buy anything.
