I've been gone from this thread all day while installing my computer into a new case. I told myself I was going to make a video tonight.

I play so much Minecraft, I dream in blocks.

Everytime I close my eyes I see Minecraft. When I lie in bed it feels like im falling down a mine.

Start sending me PM's if you want to get added to the whitelist for my server. Also when you PM me send in a name for the first settlement. You will get credit for it. My brother and I are setting up a rules thing for when you get in the server, 3 strike rule and then you're banned. If you're caught really breaking the rules, it will be an instant ban. Cooperation is the key to this server, I'm just pissed every minecraft name that could involve the word "Bro" is taken, even though actual brothers (me and mine) run it. :sigh: Fun is our primary concern, so pissing people off is a bad idea. The creation of the town is the top priority right now once we open it up to the public in the next day or two.

Beta soon ? Oh shit, I'll get my credit card running in three days, I need to buy it before beta.

I find it really silly how he's raising the price for beta, AND THEN ALSO making beta users not get the full copy over the life of the production. Maybe he's doing it to make people buy now instead of later, but I think it's a bad choice. I've been in love with notch's policies, as a dev and PR guy he's awesome. He's like, "So I made this game, do what you want with it. Want content, Here!" It's an Indie dev's wetdream what he's going through. But now he's splitting his community around with his recent choices. I'd say let the only downside to waiting be the price. If people wait, they pay more, don't compound it with less content in the future. This is based off my assumption that the big content packs he's planning will be free for Alpha subscribers like us, but will cost more for people in beta.

I agree. Nobody in their right mind would pay to play a beta, and then pay again to get the release version. It's going to stagnate his income, and that can have negative effects on his production.

Isn't the point of Minecraft to be ONE (1) world to explore for EVERYONE? Even the nether was pushing it by using the world recreation technique.

That's part of my disappointment too. This will segregate people. I think, anyway.

I don't know what you guys are on about with notch's new beta thing. He's had a huge burst in popularity but it isn't going to last forever. He can only develop the game when he can make money from it, so it's either DLCs or nothing.

Can't wait till beta. Hope there will be lots of new features ! :v:

IE: Battlefield 1942, which was simply popular enough to become (mostly) mainstream.

Hello everyone. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ripper, and I have been lurking on these threads for a while now. I have finally decided to start posting, and will start be showing my current world. I am currently burrowed in the side of a small mountain/hill, while I am working on a walled in fort. I am planning on adding a farm within the walls. Also, in my mountain, I burrowed downward and have found caverns in two places. Pictures are tagged for their size. THe real problem with this minecraft its its rudimentary way to build stuff. You put one cube by another, takes alot of time. They should make something like in gmod.
