HELL YEAH! I'm moving up in the world. No more mooching off a friends account. I NOW OFFICIALLY OWN MINECRAFT! Well, last time I posted this, the image broke, so here it is again! [img_thumb]http://anyhub.net/file/18uj-wallpaper-791861.jpg[/img_thumb]
Well cock... a staircase will have to do then. :saddowns:
You could always make something like what I did if you have room for it: If you need help with building it, feel free to ask. About to eat dinner though, so might be slow in replying.

Do I patch the HD fix first and then betterlight or betterlight first? I did HD and then betterlight, it worked fine.
In-game tutorial would suck. So would this "Storyline" thing he's thinking of adding in.
In-game documentation that can be accessed from the menu at least. Wouldn't be intrusive.
It needs an in-game tutorial.
You know, I grew up with games like Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, and Adventure! (Atari 2600) that did NOT come with tutorials. If we were lucky, it came with an instruction book that told you what button "A" did and what button "B" did, and that was it. We didn't have the internet, and Nintendo Power! was subscription only. We found the secrets and learned the game through trial and error. Kids these days have games spoon fed to them. I get very impatient with games that hold my hand and tell me what to do for the first 20 minutes.
If you purchase the game after December 20'th, you will have to also purchase the extra game modes that will be released in the future. If you bought the game before the 20'th of December, you're fine and wont have to buy anything.
He never said that.
In-game documentation that can be accessed from the menu at least. Wouldn't be intrusive.
Well, that would be alright I guess, but it's a freeform game, do what you want. Same thing goes for the storyline shit.
Super Mario Bros. is pretty obvious and The Legend of Zelda kinda tells you what to do.
They didn't rely on knowing exactly how to build things in a 3x3 window. [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] Oh damn, broken automerge.

And when I decided to reinstall it, i found myself looking at the control menu way too much.
I'm considering buying Minecraft, but i have a question. If i made a super awesome village or city or whatever in singleplayer, would it be possible to transfer it over to multiplayer so others can see and play on it? Thanks.
nevermind
In-game tutorial would suck. So would this "Storyline" thing he's thinking of adding in.
I would hate an official story mode. I would love however a large goal based single player. Like Mount and Blade Warband. It has 0 Story, but it's basically a warfare sandbox. So maybe for minecraft the goal might be to make a humongous wonder, like in Age of Empires. Something so massive that you play the whole game working slowely towards it.
I don't think you can do that right now.
You can just transfer the world to a multiplayer server, I did it with my friend once
There's a wiki for that.
Which is online and not very convenient to browse.

I think maybe there could be a tutorial level, which spawns you in a pre-generated world which will teach you about making picks and basics of surviving with messages or onscreen popups. And could guide you on how to make a shelter or something and survive the night
