My first time getting diamonds, I made a pickaxe and was creeper'd into lava. Second time, I mined it, and lava came out the hole Third time, I got the diamonds, but accidentally stepped in lava. I made it to my chest of bacon with half a heart to spare.

Downside to Eden, you have to load every time you go into a new chunk. And they aren't that big.

Doing high-rise dome construction..
