Sometimes my game gets stuttery. Not like lag, but the game is actually playing faster than it should.
Whenever I would play creative mode I got called a hacker because I could dig/build/run about 10x the normal speed.

I deleted META-Inf long ago. And what is this spawnlist? Are you talking about the spawner GUI for the mob box?

Are you sure? This looks more like good old fashioned lag, meaning the time to complete any action would the same, even if the actual animation is a 10x speed.

The Minecraft Wiki really is incredibly useful, especially the Crafting Recipes page ([url=http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Crafting][u]here[/u][/url]).
I'd recommend you breeze through the crafting page & get a general look at the tools and things you can make, and skim over the wiki in general, as there are a lot of random, super-helpful articles on it. Like the Ore page, which describes the levels at which you are most likely to find the different minerals in the game ([url=http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Ore][u]here[/u][/url]).
I installed Panther pack by dropping its files into the minecraft.jar, but how do I change it back to default texture?
Finished (for the most part) the high-rise project - off of which I was trying not to fall, earlier - and it turned out pretty neat.
It's based off of the form of an observatory:

A pane of glass in the center of the ceiling allows sunlight to flood in through a shaft of glass inside and brighten up the surrounding staircase during the day:
