I'm so fucking angry. I just spent a few hours doing something, only to have the game crash, then when i reloaded my save, not a single part of it had saved, a whole 2 hours gone missing. Isn't the game supposed to save constantly?

I've been building a house underground and chopping down a shitload of trees. At one point (about 15 mins ago) i paused the game to go to the toilet, so it should have saved then. Ok this is weird, one half of the map is fully up to date, all my latest items in the chest, but the other area... as if i'd never been there. Corrupt save?

Go into the folder for the world, back up the current level.dat and move it out of the folder, then rename level.dat_old to level.dat. You could also try renaming the world folder to a different number. Gone forever. I'm not sure if i even want to start over, because it will probably just happen again. The funny thing is, moments before it crashed, i got all of my items out of the chest from the non corrupt area, and moved them to the corrupt area for convenience. So now i have NO items, a shitty home that is miles away (thanks for keeping that saved and up to date for me by the way) and all the trees that i chopped have returned. Fuck.
