Hello everyone, and welcome to the thread. We are running a very clean, orderly, and friendly server consisting of just a few people at the moment. Right now, We are aiming to expand.

We set up the server a few weeks ago, and have accomplished quite a bit so far. We are hosting from south east coast Canada, and nobody has complained about any lagg/connectivity issues yet. The RP aspects of our server are as follows

-Social Class
-Wealth
-Barter based Economy
-Government
-PVE
-PvP
-Jobs

The most important part of our RP system is our government. We are comprised of different groups trying to gain land and resources. So far we have the state of Krabbenstadt, which is based on 18th century Prussia, and Nova Roma, based on the Roman Empire. When you start off, you are part of the Krabbenstadt State, which is completely communist, although some may argue that it is under dictatorship. You will get paid by the state for doing various labor jobs. The city of Krabbenstadt is basically an urban slum, making it fairly undesirable to live in. You can build onto the city whatever you want, as long as it's appropriate during the time period (1800s or before), and fits well with the theme of the city (urban,industrial slum). You may own a modest house in Krabbenstadt, but you must pay a fair amount of resources to the Kaiser(me), to be able to move.

This server is completely fictional, but most of our towns are based on something in history.

On Friday every website was unblocked in my school, so I played/downloaded Minecraft Alpha at lunch.

For some reason people love to hate Frenden's pack but I really like it, especially since I customzied it to my own liking by making the wood darker, changing the sand skin to something less eye gouging, etc. :love:

I'm actually thinking of learning Java just to make a mod combination that combines FancyPack, FloodgateMod, GrateMod and the above to make what would essentially be a "Singleplayer dwarf fortress". AKA: Minecraft but not for lazy people.

If you want one that's good, I'd go for Wombo's. It looks nice and slick while still keeping the feel of original Minecraft.

For one that's just pure amazing, I'd go for maybe Eldpack or Glimmar's Steampunk pack. both of them have some really nice skins that make a lot of buildings look really good.

If your computer isn't very good, Flatcraft is good at getting high performance, while still having a nice feel.

My once cave house has walls where there weren't, there are trees that were never there before now growing in my garden, there are holes in my house that were not there when I last quit. What the hell happened?
