Hell, maybe not voiceover. Maybe just ask Sunsfan if he would like to read script in other languages ? I do realise this doesn't help in making "Ruskies" use more english in a multinational enviroment which is Dota, but 1 step at a time.
For some reason i dont think sunsfan knows how to pronounce russian.
Fuck me, it just hit me. Rather god damn easy thing to do, I don't need much tools, just some agreements and barely any time. You know DotaCinema videos ? Their guides and hero previews are of rather good quality, I can speak Russian, so maybe I could ask them whether I could create voiceover in Russian and they would upload those versions to help that part of Russian Dota 2 community that isn't playing well. Sure, there probably are many Dota 2 related Russian channels on Youtube, but making DotaCinema take part in this : - makes it rather easy to spot, as Dota 2 wiki and a lot of other sites link to them - makes this look like combined effort, as they are primarly English speaking community, which offers Russian version for those of other communities. Critique ? [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] Hell, maybe not voiceover. Maybe just ask Sunsfan if he would like to read script in other languages ? I really like dota cinema and I think it could help a lot of other language speakers.
For some reason i dont think sunsfan knows how to pronounce russian.
The better. Might be slightly harder to understand, but I comedic value goes up. I for one love to hear people mispronounce in Russian when I know what they want to say.
The better. Might be slightly harder to understand, but I comedic value goes up. I for one love to hear people mispronounce in Russian when I know what they want to say.
What if we translate and read it ourselves?
I don't really think russians are terrible players, more like very rude and offensive generally. But still, call me if you need any help.
Indirect help. Quality footage provided in multi-lingual versions to explain basics game. I think this sounds friendly as an idea and could appeal to said "Ruskies". Who would't want to watch some quality videos, NOW provided in language that given person speaks ? [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline]
What if we translate and read it ourselves?
It's an option, but it's up to DotaCinema. For me, I don't care if it's me with my mixed polish/russian accent or Sunsfan with his soothing voice, but talking like American comedian trying to sound Russian, or anyone else for that matter.

I don't like how phantom lancers attack animation looks like hes smacking people with the lance instead of stabbing. Other than that it feels really smooth.
I don't like how phantom lancers attack animation looks like hes smacking people with the lance instead of stabbing.
He's a fisherman. He stabs the fish, not the people.
He's a fisherman. He stabs the fish, not the people.
It makes sense,I just don't like it. Ok found his stabbing animation. 15 minutes into the game and I didn't see it.
My only issue that really bugs me about the new Brewmaster is his new hero selection image: Hopefully we'll see a better looking one before the patch lands. I preferred the old model's color scheme to be honest, and the new portrait looks like a different pose would do the new model more justice, but it's not horrifying. Hell, even giving him his blue robes back would make him much, much better looking, he's a little bland right now. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] Late, sorry.
So I sent in my illusions to the fountain and they kept replicating so the fountain couldn't kill any. I killed the whole team without even walking in the spawn. (Bots ofc) [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/578955258300380811/68235B0CF5750A1D0965D39235D0A525043FE97F/[/t] Snipers passive literally took my head off. [t]http://i.imgur.com/UakNR.jpg[/t] I couldn't get screenshot off on time but bots like to get stuck in that nook between the ramp and the cliff. They only leave once I start attacking.
i find this game frustrating when i die alot
I just hate those matches where you know there's nothing you can do and they decide to farm, rosh and camp the fountain rather than just end it.
I just hate those matches where you know there's nothing you can do and they decide to farm, rosh and camp the fountain rather than just end it.
Played a game where the team loses to a bh lane, then the other team doesn't even have the courtesy to finish when they're 5 levels ahead of us.

The game began with an incredibly rough start. We just finished playing with one of the worst huskars ever (constantly feeding & farming, no teamfight support) who bumped into us again. He was Rikki, and pretty much left immediately when he started feeding. I was mid as Drow, and, technically speaking, the game was safe to leave whenever. Suffice to say, we got off to a rough start. No one around for teamfights and constantly getting our team broken apart because they were well-coordinated. By the time I was able to buy demon edge for my Daedalus build, we had lost mid rax and were in the process of losing top rax. However, my Daed began to change the game around. Combined with lothars, the enemy team really wasn't able to handle me as long as we were fighting together. We had some nice 2v1 or 2v2 where Naix would slow, I would slow as he used his autoattack, and I would continue using my Q to finish off any fleeing enemy. My silence was able to shut down invoker or Zeus, and I was outleveling Invoker enough so that his cold snap no longer affected my health very strongly. Combine that with a bkb, and invoker, zeus, and tide became just as easy targets as razor and sand king. We must've roshed nearly 3 times, the first time I had my aegis so long I lost it :v:. Anyways, we were able to defend our base long enough and start wiping the enemy team out, allowing us to defend properly and push. No one was smart enough to buy a gem, so I was also able to push mid or bot and then quickly pull out with lothars. When we were attempting to Rosh, we had one last teamfight which ended with the whole entire enemy team - save for razor - being wiped out of the game. We pushed mid rax and I finished off the ancient. Also, the huge number of denies were from early game. Invoker kept pushing, and I kept denying creeps. Without any ganks I was already about 1 level ahead of him :v:.
I guess it was more of trying to hold off for the hard carry to actually carry. Either way it seems like a pretty scary game.
what should i build support invoker? (skills & items)
Had an idea today. I usually build Dazzle with power treads for a bit more tankiness and HP regen along with Soul Ring for mana, but would I be better building Tranquil boots and a Bracer for tankiness and HP regen, saving more mana cause I won't use shadow wave so often? Also I will be able to build up a drum really easily which is always useful.
I guess it was more of trying to hold off for the hard carry to actually carry. Either way it seems like a pretty scary game.
Yeah. I mean I was already carrying from early game, but Drow is a pretty weak carry until you get into late game. Once I hit late game with daed, though, we were able to keep them off long enough to eventually push for the ancient. But it was easily one of the most stressful and murky games I ever played, just because one good teamwipe or one good backdoor push could leave the ancient vulnerable.
Just won a match with CowThing (which is surprising enough), he was Bloodseeker (he only played support to this day - seriously!) and me as Drow Ranger - saying I've never played her would be a lie, since I technically played a match once (but someone dced before picking so yeah)
That was crazy, I had absolutely no idea what to buy or level so I just went with recommended items and I just skilled what looked useful first. surprisingly I wasn't too bad at getting last hits, even though I lanned with a Kunka.

If anyone cares; Here is a recent pic of that Sven head I was working on. Don't think anything is ever going to come of it as I cannot texture for shit. For shit.
I'm gonna start soloqing. I don't care if I get bad teammates anymore, maybe one day I'll have teammates of my level and enemies of my level. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] qing with friends will be less as usual until team matchmaking comes in.
