Gray PL but don't pick him, other team gets him, the dude leaves within the first 2 minutes and we get a free win when his WINNING team follows suit. Try to insta-lock PL, enemy team gets him and I get a Clinkz who farms the enemy jungle for 30 minutes straight, and Invoker who never uses anything but Forge Spirit's and keeps Quas and Exort evenly leveled, and a Sand King who stays in sandstorm forever with nobody around that could possibly kill him if he left it. I go CM and get raged at by Clinkz when I tell him to last hit, or stop farming and try to help us, or pretty much say anything. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] (And lose)

If you just want it for the health, you'd be better off just getting the Vitality Booster for Heart, and a Hood/Pipe for regen until you can finish Heart.

The new brewmaster looks far too sober... can see why they changed it though, you know activision have their hand hovering over a large red button marked "SUE SUE SUE" if they so much as see anything even remotly carrying the potential to look slithly like some of their IP. Brewmaster looked a bit to much like a WoW Panda thingy so valve changed him. As a suggestion, I think he should be grey as opposed to brown, mnd a bit more mangy. Feedback guys, keep sending it. This is a beta and valve want to change things to perfection, let them know how you would like things done.

So I just had my first Phantom Lancer game. Way more fun than I thought he'd be.

Also found references to a desert + oriental looking trader outpost. Plus bamboo plants and a few eastern looking buildings. And more mayan architecture like statues. Hoping for new maps / complete restyles...

me too. There's only so much of that one map that you can play. i wonder what valve are trying to do at the moment. There are enough hero's so surely you'd think that they are making items for heros, tutorials, ,Maps, gamemodes etc. They need those things more importantly for an exit of beta mode before they finish every hero

i picked doom against qop and am, team picks veno, tide, ns and sylla and they decide to put me solo bot against am and dazzle am had divine, manta and battlefury at around 30 minutes

am i gonna see any phantom lancer in competitive games?

It seems there might be a bit of a bug with bots. I tried playing phantom lancer against easy bots, I went into a team fight with at least 6 illusions, and after a few second of fighting they knew exactly which of me was the real one and their bane ultied and sapped me instantly. I can't tell if bots can just tell which is the real one, or if they're just unrealistically good at figuring out and remembering which is the real one in the middle of big fights.

Phantom lancer is a good pusher but not until later stages of the game and aoe team fight counters him. So no. I don't think he will show up in competitive games often if at all.

That and he isn't in Captain's Mode till next week. :D

Played as Phantom Lancer last night. Didn't do much well because my bots were retarded and the enemy Sniper bot was on his usual "stick Desolator up everyone's ass" routine, but controlling an army of illusions is FUN!
