Dota 2 - "slapping your ballsack against the keyboard waiting for the pretty bars above the enemys h

Playing with some br's, they keep using the glyph and someone picked up they were saying shit like "yellow shiny tower!!!", they kept feeding bounty hunter and using the glyph every time it was ready and sending our courier out to attack enemies, meaning nobody could pickup items because everytime it was delivering they would send it out and say "ATTAK!" fucking stupid.
So, I got a key for this some days ago. Always wanted to try it even though I had NO IDEA WHATSOEVER of what was going on.
A friend is teaching me some basics with bots for the moment and I'm getting some practice with last hits and denying and attacking other heroes.
Even though its kind of confusing for me sometimes to play and you need a wicked speed and strategy to play, I'm starting to like this game.
Just a question though... Are there new maps or is it always the same thing? (or will there ever be new maps)
It's always going to be the same map for matchmaking (At least I hope), but there could be other new maps for custom modes.
On a side note, I would like to see some sort of reskin for Christmas time.
Imagine if the ground was covered in snow and grime for the Radiant & Dire, respectively, with snow particles falling down and the river somewhat icy.
why do ppl buy sheep stick on crystal maiden when u can get daggon. why would u want to make someone a sheep when u can make them a dead bodey.
Wow, I played pudge 3 matches in a row, and didn't suck ass. I surprised myself.
its not just brazilians, russians and ukrainians are usually terrible too
its not me being prejudiced, but even when they can understand english they choose to ignore us
played a game with an ukrainian going venomancer, i was going drow and the retard told me to stfu because i asked him (with 1500 gold more than i had atm) to buy a courier
lol just wait until all the fucking pinoys get keys. "FUCK U NOT COURIER I NEED BOTTLE CROW"
bottle goes on every hero in every lane, and if one of them buys a courier theyll say its their own personal bottle crow and tell you to get your own. fuck

That would be ok I think.
Learning this one will take some good time.

For the same reason Dazzle has a line for Deso.
For the same reason Dazzle has a line for Deso.
im still amazed that dazzle has a fucking line for deso, that is stupid as hell
Damn I had a nice round with Necrolyte. Randomed him, I've played Lich a lot so being support is alright.
I upgraded Dagon to lvl 3, along with some other stuff, and in the final pushed I zapped Enigma out of the game with 600dmg dagon burst while he was using Black Hole :v:
necrolyte isnt a support, and even if he was you sure as fuck wouldnt build dagon on him
necrolyte isnt a support, and even if he was you sure as fuck wouldnt build dagon on him
Why not make Dagon on him ? It's universal item, that gives hero a nuke ability, that requires significant investment. Pulse, Zap and you pretty much have a hero ready for your ultimate.
Hell, Necro has only 2 spells. Sure, Ultimate is expensive as fuck and Pulse has low cooldown, but he could use 1 more to use his mana if player manages to save up for some Mana-regen items like Vyse or BStone.
Risky item to buy, still.
I had this kid tell me that Dagon should be built on every hero. He was playing Bloodseeker. The first thing he buys after boots is a level 5 dagon.
im still amazed that dazzle has a fucking line for deso, that is stupid as hell
Warlock has a 4 lines for Rapier.

I can see why it would be vaguely good, his heal is Physical damage, so reducing armor increases its effectiveness.
But it would be pointless to get in a real game, unless you're stomping.

If you played Necro as a support you didn't have a nice round with him go away.

Which is basically what boat did yesterday.

uh because if you dont build items for survivability and waste your items on a joke build you wont get close enough to the enemy to cast death pulse before they exploit the fact you went for a fucking joke build and have only 900 hp

If enemy allows you to make Dagon and upgrade it while also having items like Vyse or Bloodstone, they are likely not able to kill Necrolyte.
You can call it jokebuild, but I can see some use, especially if enemy is somehow making comebacks and you just need 2-3 heroes dead instantly (Necro could take 1 out by himself in seconds with Dagon for example?)
Honestly, it seems people just hate Dagon for the sake of it. I feel like next game I can find it useful I will get it.

He didn't get back to the enemy base before we killed the fountain. :v:

Well the Q pulse spell along with Mekanism (and phase boots, magic wand) gave me some survivability, then I had agham's for stats boost plus the dagon. We had 2 stunners also, so it was gg.

Yeah you were just against a shit team, it still doesn't mean you can play Necrolyte at all.

Dagon is a terrible item and a complete waste of money. It's never as effective as when you first buy it (meaning it's usefulness only goes down every min after you complete it), upgrading it makes it the most expensive item in the game, and you're entirely building it for your own uses. It doesn't help your team, it hardly helps you, especially when you're playing Necrolyte. Necrolyte is a carry who needs to tank up. Shiva's, Sheep Stick, Heart. He is entirely dependent on staying in a fight for as long as possible because of how his abilities work. If you're buying a Dagon, you're doing nothing but trying to blow your load and leave and that is totally against the design of the character and you're suppose to play him.

My sister knows Dagon is a shitty item.
Dagon is a good item on paper, but it's currently too expensive to make any good use of it.
It needs a serious buff.

Dagon has not changed in over seven years. It's not changing.
Dagon has not changed in over seven years. It's not changing.
Yeah, this is sadly the case, I know that.
I just say that it should be buffed, even tho it won't happen.
Did you even use it once before the end ?
yes, it did not go well

i can call it a joke build because its a fucking joke build. by building it you are contributing nothing to your team. necrolyte is a squishy hero who needs to stick close to the enemy to stay effective, building dagon is just dumb

Pretty much this. The amount of heroes that Dagon is viable on can be counted on one hand. Of all of them, the best Dagon carrier, Nerubian Assassin, isn't even in-game yet. And even then, you never upgrade it unless you are beyond farmed and have all of your item slots filled out, and even then you're probably better off saving for buyback.
The only other situation where you might build Dagon is against Lifesteal Huskar, and thats just to finish him off before he reaches the part of his health where he is practically unkillable.
[editline]6th May 2012[/editline]
Or if you're intentionally trying to be a killstealing motherfucker.

I'm only marginally ok with NA getting a Dagon, and even then he'll be more effective over time with damage, or even CC, items.
How about dagon on Pugna/Shadow demon? It's not the best item or so. But it could help burst down annoying heros, or am I totally wrong? But most cases it's just better to go a sheep stick probably.
