Are only certain items disassemble-able?
Witch Doctor : 2 things 1. Why doesn't he have any Rival voice lines ? I might not've noticed, but almost everyone has some at least. Is there place at Dev Dota 2 where we can suggest them ? 2. This is supposed to say "waxing powers" http://www.dota2wiki.com/images/d/d8/Wdoc_level_03.mp3 It always sounds to me as "Waxing bowels" which makes me cringe when I play the guy. [editline]8th May 2012[/editline]
Are only certain items disassemble-able?
yup
I think it would be really useful if they added a radial menu of some sort to call out things, i.e. top lane missing and stuff like that.
im fine with just saying "thanks" at every opportunity for now WHY THANK YOU WHY THANK YOU WHY THANK YOU
I think it would be really useful if they added a radial menu of some sort to call out things, i.e. top lane missing and stuff like that.
I think the new heroes have missing calls but it gets pretty annoying imo. I think it would be better to trigger it yourself like so.
that am build on infused.
that am build on infused.
Link of anykind?
I think the new heroes have missing calls but it gets pretty annoying imo. I think it would be better to trigger it yourself like so.
It also doesn't work very well atm And it should be the player's responsibility to remember so yeah
I have no idea why it's named lasthit but ok.
Anyone have tips on jungling? Mainly with the melee tanks like Naix or Axe.
Anyone have tips on jungling? Then if you can rush up a Hand of Midas; he's a great jungler and one of the best Hand of Midas carriers imo since it syncs perfectly with his playstyle. One little trick (that applies to any hero really) on Radiant is that you can stand in a spot where only one enemy can attack you at a time. This video shows it off and some other useful jungling tactics
Link of anykind?
lost the link, am levelled all of his abilities once and got 2 stat levels
Don't jungle with N'iax is my advice. He is a much stronger laner and benefits with a good lane partner.
The same reason TF2's Medic doesn't have domination lines: They came up with the idea way after they recorded his voice lines.
But Dota is still in Beta stage, still being produced. Tom Chantler did voice for him and Outworld Destroyer (Riki and Lion too) and OD was released with Rival Lines, so I don't see the connection. With Medic from TF2 I heard it was actor problem, here it seems rather vague.
What are the common jungle routes in dota? And what are the small, medium, large camps? I know what the ancients are and the pull camps, but I've heard other camps described both on size and difficulty but I don't know what people are talking about. Also what heroes can jungle? Off the top of my head I can think of Furion, Nai'x, Axe, Enchantress, Chen, Ursa, Lycan, and Skeleton King. Any others?

Tidehunter had lines added after the fact, so I'm sure they're coming.

You limit your vision greatly, so if anyone comes through jungle they can see creeps attacking something hidden among the trees and you can't see where they go. Junglers sometimes act like moving wards for long lane. 2. If you don't have TP scroll or Phase, this is risk. A big one. Sure, enemy will get jumped by all these creeps, but imagine Sand King just sand storming over the only exit from these spots ? Sure, you have your Quelling blade, but in case of a couple of camps it's still dangerous. Hell, imagine if there is situation at lane and you can't get there because of that superb farm. 3. Naix can get ancients early, so why all this playing with stacking ? 2 or 3 runs and you can eat the big ones. 4. Let's say enemy has tree-removal ability (midnight pulse, axes, etc) or even worse, Spawn Treants. He can trap you without trying. This stacking is great for AoE farm later on / someone like Storm spirit / Pudge / Seer jungling and spots are awesome for more than just taking less damage, but also juking and such. He just didn't mention drawbacks for them, and they are quite severe.

Someone called me bad by judging me on my last 5 games. He went 2-11 with antimage 3 times and 0-6 with phantom lancer twice in his last 5. :v:
Getting really annoyed with Phantom Lancer. Most of the time when a new character is released they're instalocked for a day or so and then forgotten but he's been instalocked in possibly every single one of my last games, which means me playing specific characters that are good against him over and over again.
What are some direct counters to him? Haven't had to deal with him yet, but still would be nice.
What are some direct counters to him? Haven't had to deal with him yet, but still would be nice.
AOE damage like leshrac, sand king ult. I usually play kunkka against him since hes a fun hero and his passive just removes 9/10ths of his hp. [editline]8th May 2012[/editline] illusion hp
Would OD just wreck his shit?
Every time I see someone ask about countering Phantom Lancer I never see anyone say Earthshaker.
Every time I see someone ask about countering Phantom Lancer I never see anyone say Earthshaker.
I was gonna say that, but I guess you said it before me.
Basically anyone with AoE stuns is good, preferably those that aren't squishy because he can pick people off pretty easily with Spirit Lance.
That makes sense, but I'm pretty bad with ES because I wall off my teammates sometimes who proceed to yell at me.
