The DTS vs. Na'Vi game. Its over now.
Did you spectate the game from within Dota2, the spectating mode? Also I was under the impression that The International tournament-matches for example could also be replayed through the in-game spectator/replay thing. Would be better rather than watching them from Youtube because then I could check their inventories and shit as I please.
I've said "good job" and "we make a great team" instead of going "thx" like some incoherent nitwit.
what bout simple "thank you" when someone ganks when you are pushed or saves you ? I doubt you never had this happen. Aside from jokes, I really need some tips on Chen. I get lost when I get to play him. I bind Hero to 1, creeps with abilities to 2,3 and 4, 5 for Chen and Creeps all together. Still, I somehow end up in whacky positions during teamfights. Just today I had Chen far behind enemy line in teamfight, hugging their supports, and Ursa was hugging our Night Stalker. I am bad, but there must be some sort of training routines or such.

I'm really happy to see more Death Prophet in Competitive. I love playing her and it's nice to see people using her again.
I'm really happy to see more Death Prophet in Competitive. I love playing her and it's nice to see people using her again.
Yeah but 3 games in a row is too much imo.
whos streamin those matches?
Since you people truly need this much help in understanding a simple post, fine: I (me, Captain Chalky) thought that "thx" (notice: not "thanks" but "thx") triggers the vocal lines which represent your (me/you/everybody who uses it) gratitude towards your fellow teammates. I myself like to speak English, which is why I avoid using nonsense like "thx" and instead use proper English or other phrases to express myself. I only today found out that "thx" triggers the said vocal lines and didn't test if "thanks" does that too because sitting in the base and spamming "thanks" would seem illogical. Then I got sad because I didn't know of such of a fine feature, and then people rated me late and dumb. Should I go on into finer detail, or did you understand already?
You also insulted people who say "thx" instead of "thanks" even though it's faster to type and dota isn't a game where you accomplish a whole lot by typing.
"Thanks" makes your hero say the line too.. "Thank you" as well.

If it's really drastic, you could play games that help with micro. (Biggest one I can think of is starcraft but thats 50+ dollars I think.
You also insulted people who say "thx" instead of "thanks" even though it's faster to type and dota isn't a game where you accomplish a whole lot by typing.
It takes me less time to type out thanks since I don't have to think about how I can shorten the word, and I haven't memorized shorthand like that.
It takes me less time to type out thanks since I don't have to think about how I can shorten the word, and I haven't memorized shorthand like that.
This doesn't apply to most people.
Dota2 should have a blocking system like L4D2 has. Where if you add someone to your block list you'll never get matched with them again. Would be useful when you come across an exceptionally annoying person. Unless the game already has that system, I just remembered L4D2 has it.
Fine, I'm a basket full of shit for calling people nitwits and using "thanks" instead of "thx". There, no need for drama.
Rate me dumb for rating this dumb I misread it at first and then I read it again and realized I was dumb. International ohboyohboyohboyohboyohboy
Dota 2 servers will be down later tonight, update will hit as soon as they're back up. Maybe this means we're actually getting something more that wasn't in the Test Client ? I'm especially looking at the Dota 2 Shop
Servers are down. We can hope for the best if something that wasn't in the test client comes.
You guys are so optimistic but I cant help but hope for a surprise hero too :v:
You guys are so optimistic but I cant help but hope for a surprise hero too :v:
Surprise hero won't happen, it's not something they can release without being tested. The shop on the other hand is far less important and can still be included even if not entirely working as intended.
A hero wouldn't require server downtime for any reason. I get the feeling it's got something to do with the shop/item drops.
Yeah me too, and I'm really fucking excited, even considering staying up as late as I need to, only to see the reason of the downtime. (it's currently 2AM and I work at 8AM)
Are people actually excited for the thing that killed tf2?
Are people actually excited for the thing that killed tf2?
If anything, drops and hats only can benefit TF2. Mostly Gabe's pocket.
Are people actually excited for the thing that killed tf2?
For me it wasn't the fact that there was hats that killed it for me. It's just that many of the paints, hats, and items don't fit in the TF2 art style. If Valve will just make every item fit the Dota2 art style then there will be nothing wrong with it.
I still don't understand the idea that hats ruined TF2. I can still play the game and none of that stuff matters to me.
