Support heroes are really underrated. Like Lich, Crystal Maiden and Pugna to name a few.
You picked 2 heroes that have been quite popular in the competitive scene (Lich having past and CM being banned a lot) and a ganker.
lol are you seriously classifying an entire role as underrated theres always at least 1 support on every team in every game i see
I wish I was that lucky.
if theres not a support on your team pick a support, i dont really see how luck comes into it
Questions about Riki and his invisibility. 1-Can towers spot me? 2-When you get hit, does he lose it? Also, when you do the blink strike do you become "silenced" for a moment?
Yes enemy buildings have true sight so if you get too close you are revealed. Enemys cannot autoattck you if you are invis but non target so spells can you will still take damage but will not be revealed unless you are stunned
I always try to. Luck selects your teammates in pubs.
if your teammates do not select a hero with the support role nothing is preventing you from selecting a hero with the support role. there is no reason for your team not to have a support hero every game
Second team drafting Dazzle in comp today. New meta Dazzle Krobellus. [editline]12th May 2012[/editline]
You shouldn't build Bloodseeker at all. As in never play him ever because he's bad. If you really fucking have to for some reason, Vlad's into Abyssal into Butterfly.
well i like playing him, and at my level, it doesn't even matter who you play, since i've won games with 5 hard carries
My team won with these item builds [t]http://puu.sh/ukJK[/t] it just feels so wrong...
You must be playing shitty pubs then, I see pugna, lich, and cm played regularly.
Rarely, I see a carry crystal maiden but yeah I usually see a support in every game.. Does her ult still work if you use shadow blade afterwards?
Rarely, I see a carry crystal maiden but yeah I usually see a support in every game.. Does her ult still work if you use shadow blade afterwards?
If it works for Witch Doctor then it should work for her. It's a terrible idea though and a BKB is much better for both
Rarely, I see a carry crystal maiden but yeah I usually see a support in every game.. AXE WITH AXE!!! AXE WITH AXE!!!
Is it evil to think that a two handed Warhammer would suit the hero axe?
Oh my god was anyone watching Tobi's stream just then? Korok, as Storm Spirit, on Radiants side, ulti'd from I think their tier 2 or even tier 3 mid tower to roshan, stole it, took the aegis, and got a double kill with his team following. Storm Spirit is awesome.
I was tiny, just in range to toss enemy, surprise, lich blinks in and uses fucking chain frost on one target. Just to steal my kill. We also had 3 carries, (you guessed it, ursa, shadow fiend were 2) which was a real pain in the ass as ursa was just farming roshan and SF was sitting mid spamming shadowraze. Morphling was OK though.

[editline]12th May 2012[/editline] On the Dire side I mean.
Essentially every single thing Tide picked confuses me. Ring of Aquilis? Not sure why that's there. No Blink/Force Staff is the obvious culprit. Jango, ok makes sense because he probably started with a bracer and wanted a support item but it was the first thing he got after bracers, delaying his core (which he didn't even end up getting). Treads aren't the worst pick but Arcane would've been very useful. And then the Pipe. It's like he went "well I should get something to support" and gets that even though the only real mass spell damage they have is Lion and getting a pipe just for finger of death isn't that necessary when he could've gotten a Mek for some healing and armor (which I hoped WR would've gotten but I guess she decided that she wanted to carry even when we had two). WR in general should've gone support and I was hoping she would but nope, if a hero has the potential to carry then that's how they have to be played every time.
Pipe and treads are not weird at all for Tide.
They're not weird but they don't suit the situation. Well treads are kind of a generic all situation item but I don't think they were the best choice for this one.
People not making best choices in pub games. Water is a liquid. Natural, isn't it ?
Meh, item build is such an easy thing to fix. Also speaking of bad choices I played against a team just now that went all Int. I went Anti-Mage and they ignored me for the majority of the game, letting me free farm. I'm confused as to what they thought was going to happen...
Ring of Aquila is pretty damn weird on Tide, and the lack of Blink Dagger isn't good, but otherwise looks ok. There are better builds, but there are also certainly worse builds.
Tide doesn't need blink at all. With Kraken and the huge AOE of Ravage, he can just wander in there and hit R.
Tide doesn't need blink at all. With Kraken and the huge AOE of Ravage, he can just wander in there and hit R.
To me, it really depends on the enemies I'm fighting.
Tide doesn't need blink at all. With Kraken and the huge AOE of Ravage, he can just wander in there and hit R.
This may be true... but no blink means he can't surprise them. Blink also means he can more easily assure that he catches as many of the enemy team as possible, because if you see a Tide with Ravage strolling towards your team, it's a good idea to not be near him so you generally walk away. People will also pop off silences and BKBs if they can prepare for it as well.
