I thought you were just misinformed but I got the joke after a second :v:
Enemy team is always better and you get retards on your team.
Why?
Because they have to compensate your skills so it would be fair for the enemy team.
On average they are all half-dumbasses, while your team is complete buckets of stupidity and you being the best dude around you should be able to carry your team alone.
No wait, it's not like that. (Not generalised towards any of you, but I say this out anyways)
It's like this: Sometimes you get good mates, sometimes not. It's as much as you are having a bad game. It just happened to you that you got multiple mates who are having one at the same time.
If you are crying about "Boohoo, I got 0.9 win/loss ratio. Its the team and not me" it just tells you how the matchmaking is working as it should. If you were a guy with 3.5 win/loss ratio, you are either Chinese or there is something terribly wrong with the matchmaking.
People tend to remember their bad games and complain about them, while they usually forget their good games/team-mates.
Nobody can resist that, it's being human. But you can avoid that happening to you, if you just try to remember them when you have a bad game in some way.
"Well this went bad, ah well at least my last Omni game went good."
But if you are pissed off and want to see the world burn. Press random and then rush Dagon 5. Then you realise what it's being a dickface, and will propably play a normal game next time.
Matchmaking is a challenge to see if you can carry a team of noobs. If you can't, you don't deserve to move up a level. Thats always how I feel it was when I was just about to break my W-L even.
Ugh, just had a string of terrible games last night. A whole ton of really dumb team mates.
First game, we had a beast Master who didn't speak English. He never built into axes, rushed a Mask of Madness, and fed 12 kills to bot lane, who proceeded to gank the hell out of everyone.
Next was a game with a Faceless Void who wound up getting killed 15 times, and constantly chrono sphere'd teammates.
Then there was a game where we had 3 carries. One was Sylla, who had never played Sylla before, and had never jungled before. One of the others was a Spectre who had also never played that hero before, and kept diving for kills on overleveled heroes early in the game and kept bitching when I didn't follow him to his death.
Next there was a game where I was playing Puck. I asked for mid, but Shadow Shaman demanded it instead. He then got his ass kicked by Bane, gave him a 3 level edge, and he started roaming around ganking us at level 11 when we were level 6.
Finally there was a random draft game. First two picks on our team were Drow and Lycan. Not bad in itself. However, our next two picks were Ursa and Lifestealer. I picked Venomancer to try to salvage something, but I lost connection for a bit and then we got our asses kicked.
Never solo queuing on Sunday night ever again.
I tell that to myself every weekend, I always figure out a way to convince myself "It won't be as bad as last time"

Is it better to win with few kills and deaths or to lose with a kdr of about 5?
Any bad bitches in here gonna be playing Diablo III in an hour?
Is it better to win with few kills and deaths or to lose with a kdr of about 5?
To win? This isn't call of duty so it doesn't matter what your kdr is.

This is still the dota thread but yes I will be
This is still the dota thread but yes I will be
I know, I was just wondering though. Want to play together?
To win? This isn't call of duty so it doesn't matter what your kdr is.
It seems to me that a lot of people I meet blames losses on the players with the least kills. Even if they manage to break towers and support well.

Because a lot of people think this game is like call of duty and kills > barracks.
I just got my STS package from Valve, including some DOTA-related stuff :v:

Jealousy levels nearing capacity.
Those that stream, what stuff and settings do you use?
On that note Sing Sing was streaming this morning and told viewers he played with no delay on the stream, the match was just the enemy team de-warding whenever Sing Sing's view showed one of theirs and also them dropping everything and running to gank him when he was nowhere nearby and no wards were up since Sing's team put sentries everywhere trying to figure out how they knew exactly where he was- also they'd reply to his comments while streaming ingame. It was really douchey- so put a 5 minute delay pretty much is what I'm trying to say.
Whats an STS pack?
Who else plays tide with force staff?
Those that stream, what stuff and settings do you use?
Steam Translation Server.
We got gifts for basically getting into the DOTA 2 beta <:
I want that fucking shop keeper sketch
I completely fucking hate you right now because I got promised to get into a translation group by one of our bosses and guess what
Jealousy levels nearing capacity.
I wouldn't say so, translating pirate requires very little brainpower, don't be jealous because you can get it too if you have the patience to get through the circlejerk admissions. (read below on what Scrake said, completely validates this)

It's sad that you actually know a language and they don't and yet they get all the stuff huh?

I almost threw out the shopkeeper sketch, thought the slip it came in was packaging. :v:
Haha I figured when I saw the slip that it had to be the sketches :v:.
Also Beezle there's a few things wrong with your post:
1.) Translating Pirate isn't like translating for the other languages, but there's still a code that we follow. Therefore we get a lot of translators who join to translate/see upcoming Valve updates only to never translate after a few strings because there's so many rules and regulations to how we do things. Even if it's as simple as translating "The STS package is pretty rad" to "Th' STS parcel be quite a beauty," a lot of translators forget the need for uniformity or completely diminish their creative power immediately. I ended up translating a lot of bio strings into Pirate, and translating several paragraphs of backstory is tiring to say the least.
2.) The STS packages were for specific STS members. The 8 of us in Pirate that got the packages were actually people who earned STS DOTA 2 beta keys. And the 8 of us who earned STS DOTA 2 beta keys were deemed important translators who put in a lot of work or effort into our respective languages. I literally earned my beta key/package by working my ass off in a contest for Pirate. Not to say that Scrake would not have input a lot into his language, but by the start of this year 3/4 of the languages available had spots filled. Especially Spanish, which was, afaik, the first language to actually finish.
3.) Scrake should hit me up if he wants to be added into STS. Unless his application was rejected - again, if this is Spanish they're pretty set with translators AFAIK - I can probably talk to one of our admins and see if he can get a translation position.
