Oh man I had some interestingly fun matches with Slardar.. Awesome as fuck hero he is.

Just played a match where the other team were all carries, four of them invis heroes, and one player on my team was a good man and picked slardar. I don't think I need to say anything more than "we won".

Yeah, Drow was my first hero I really carried with for that reason. After you build daed you're pretty much cleared to wreck the enemy team, unless the enemy team is way too fed. [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] She can really bring a good team back into the fight too for that reason. I've played a few games with her where I built daed and sent the enemy team packing back to their base through sheer DPS & pushing power.

How do you guys build Drow? Maybe it's because she's one hero I'm God awful at last hitting with but I try to build Manta to HotD to Crys/Daed and it takes [I]forever[/I]. I also don't believe in Shadow Blade.

last game i played with her i built manta, 2 wrath bands, treads and a daed and just picked up a vitality booster for shits and giggles

Always get Manta after Crystalys, because the Illusions then get crit. (I think)

I have 84 games and 150 hours.

I have 713 games and 725 hours.

478 hours with 399 games. Maybe my 400th will be a win.

Yep Drow is fucking nice with Daed crits. But what made the Drow more nice was me, Slardar, with my Alpha Wolf bringing a whopping 30% damage aura.

You have a solid build, but I would either switch Manta & HotD or build Manta last. The boost from Daed might speed up your build because of how much crits will help in farming & ganking. Lothars can be easily countered but they're an excellent initiation tool on Drow, as Maruhai said. The key is to use lothars to help kill, not escape. Even if the enemy has wards/dust/gem, you may be able to pick off weaker heroes free farming for a few levels. Tends to help bring you to daed/manta faster. Also manta w/ both illusions gives greater DPS than daed, but daed is a much more effective item due to crits IMO. Try rushing daed on Drow so you can just hit late-game and start ganking lesser-fed heroes.

What about Butterfly? What hero is it good for, not Drow?

Personally I've never been a fan of Butterfly on Drow. She needs the DPS much more so she can hit late game, although I wouldn't say she's ill suited for butterfly; rather, butterfly isn't a priority. Personally, FV or Jugg seem like better heroes for Butterfly, but I don't play either as much as Drow.

It really depends on the match really, Manta style can be good if they dont have any way of quickly dispersing your illusions, and can provide you with some good stats, while butterfly would be better if they dont have any real mkb holders, and you want downright dps

I'd spend the money on Satanic over Butterfly. Perhaps BKB if they have lots of stuns.
