I think my favorite weapon in this game would have to be curare tipped needles. Those things have saved my life on so many occasions it's unbelievable.
Too bad they don't work against anything poison resistant.

So I had a Deep Dwarf Chaos knight with some awesome fire scimitar which could kill orc hordes and trolls with ease, and he got killed by a group of fucking yaks.

There are also monsters called death yaks which are even stronger.

Sigmund is over rated. If you are not a berserker you just have to tp/blink/run/kite away from him. And If you are a berserker you just berserk and kill.
Also bumping this thread because this game is better than 90% of games made today.
Easy mode for beginners is troll monk or troll berserker. You have to eat a lot more, but you can usually get pretty far without too much hardship.
I usually just hit random generate for the most fun though.
Don't eat Kobold. That stuff is funky
I've been playing Merfolk Healer, surprisingly, you can't heal yourself very much at all, although if you heal enemies they turn neutral (sometimes) and your God is pleased with you.
