Remember every Batarian is an individual :smith:
The Quarians are my favorite race, followed by the Turians
Human race is best race :v:
The Volus are pretty amusing though.
I want a rachni squaddie.
if you need a reason to hate the batarians just look into Elysium. they are a society that not only condones slavery and piracy but also endorses it as said before. they put control chips in ppls head, without anesthesia. the Alliance is to blame for wanting to expand, legally and morally i might add, while the batarians attacked helpless settlements. there is plenty of reason to hate them

This. An acid spitting queen with mind control powers would be cool to have as a Squaddie

Krogan are one of my favorites.
Well...I guess that the Hegemony does endorse pirates and slavers. But I don't think that we have the right to blame them for their caste system. We have had some of our own. That also allowed slavery.

1000 years ago by the time we reached space, and it isn't ENDORSED by the government.
Salarians and Krogan are the best.
Also, don't forget the quest "I Remember Me" and the "Colonist" background in general.
I still find it funny how nobody loves humanity.
used saveedit to give myself one of the flamethrowers that the vorcha pyros use.
it is glorious

Human relations are quite crappy in Mass Effect 1, and depending on what you do in Mass Effect 2 Humanity is either accepted (not necessarily loved) or viewed as a rogue nation.
That being said, the Salarians are quite fond of Humanity in the sense that we're quite similar.

Colonist background and Ruthless military history fit together like a glove.

So I'm currently playing ME1 again after taking a break for more or less a year. I was just doing the biotic cultists mission but their leader, once again, is not where the game tells me he is. God damnit, will I always have to leave this mission unfinished?
Also glorious copypasted bases.
You sure he's not at the back of the bunker?

Doesn't the War Hero military history about Batarians too?
Doesn't the War Hero military history about Batarians too?
Skyllian Blitz Shepard didn't see the fleet coming, and when it actually was attacking he was more concerned with defending his allies and civilians while fighting back against the Batarians, for all purposes the fact he's killing what he hates is coincidental.
Ruthless is different, Shepard didn't have to put his squad at risk on Torfan, but he wanted to kill every last Batarian Slaver he could find. Not only did Shepard send his squad to their death just so he could increase the amount of slaver casualties, but he even murdered Batarians who were surrendering, something way out of line for even a ruthless character, but would make sense if you consider Colonist Shepard's possible vendetta against Batarian Slavers.

The Batarian government DID endorse slavery. Hell they were protesting the Council's ban on slavery claiming it was part of their culture. Then they got pissy when Humanity moved in on planets they were too lazy to actually colonise. And then they withdrew from Council space.
They're like North Korea in space.
Space Korea
By better suited you mean power grubbing psychopath who will ultimately cost Citadel space potentially billions of lives with his shortminded ignorance and thirst for control?
That seems a fairly decent description of the other 3 councilors, so yeah that is what I meant
Anderson is way unhappier being his assistant, believe me.
Oh really? Seeing both options, I got the impression he was more unhappy being a councilor and still making no difference, than just being an advisor. But still, even though I just finished a playthrough, you make me want to start again and choose anderson.
Doesn't the War Hero military history about Batarians too?
:psyduck:
Yeah war hero defended that one place from a huge mass of slavers

You find the lad who gathered the slavers and other lads in a side mission in ME.

I could imagine in ME3 there being a chance to save a bunch of Batarian Civilians (rather than pirates or slaver), or alternatively, save a couple of humans or something. That'd be an interesting moral choice I think.
Ruthless Orphan is best background

Also, I prefer a guy who lets "his fists do the talking" over a guy who stays 24/7 with his thumb up his ass.
You sure he's not at the back of the bunker?
Checked both floors, only see some random female cultist, presumably in the same room he's supposed to occupy.
Ruthless Orphan is best background
Jacob will abuse you.

Don´t know if Im wring, But it seems like your describing the tall building in the middle of the camp, Not the bunker closer to the mountain
I want a rachni squaddie.
After that massage from out old friend on Illium, I'm guessing that's not too far off for ME3.
