Too bad Miranda is a derp version of her
Too bad Miranda is a derp version of her
And I thought I was the only one who didn't find her attractive. I hope that they don't use the same model in ME3.
After watching some game play videos I'm really interested in buying Mass Effect 2. Is it really necessary (story-wise) to get me1 first?
A lot of people play ME2 without ME1 and get by fine, but don't you fucking dare. Those people are wrong, ME1 is amazing.
After watching some game play videos I'm really interested in buying Mass Effect 2. Is it really necessary (story-wise) to get me1 first?
You really should. The story in ME2 is great, But i feel that it would probably be worse without the backstory from ME1
Goddamn, Turians are retarded. For taking our large amounts of armour, there are two options, AP or shaped charge. For a shaped charge, layering is better because it gives more empty space and combined with reactive armour, does very well at stopping the jet of heat. Against AP, layering just creates huge gaps and structural weaknesses in the armour like it had been made out of shitty steel. Mass Effect weapons are the epitome of AP weapons as instead of a large chunk of metal propelled by gunpowder in say a tank shell or an autocannon, it is a relatively small piece of metal at enormous speeds. While it may look nice and be representative of their physiology, they're just making their own ships weaker. Stupid bastards.
The flaw in your logic is that mass accelerator projectiles are meant to break on impact, not go straight through. So pretty much every "bullet" can qualify as a shaped charge.
After watching some game play videos I'm really interested in buying Mass Effect 2. Is it really necessary (story-wise) to get me1 first?
A lot of decisions from ME1 carry over in ME2. Without an ME1 save, it makes the decisions for you (and though it's a matter of personal taste, I think it generally makes all the worst decisions) so it's worth playing the first one.
Damnit, I can't find that awesome trainer I used to have for ME2. It was great for messing around after finishing the game, especially loved the slowmo.

[editline]2nd December 2010[/editline] A useful hint:
+Bindings=( Name="NumPadOne", Command="God" ) +Bindings=( Name="NumPadTwo", Command="ENABLEPOWERCOOLDOWN 0" ) +Bindings=( Name="NumPadSeven", Command="Slomo 0.5" ) +Bindings=( Name="NumPadEight", Command="Slomo 1" )
They are in my collection of me2mod files. Honestly, I only use the free camera to spy and take screenshots.
Actually it might have been a coalesced.ini edit, my memory isn't too good with this. Thanks.
Because you can't put her in ME2 :saddowns:
You can, however, put things in her.
I feel like shit. In the middle of Zaeed's loyalty mission and was totally like "man, fuck it, we need to kill Vido" and then that refinery worker guy freaked out. Feels bad, man.
But then you realize that killing Vido saves countless more lives than saving some refinery workers. Not to mention those refinery workers were too well dressed to be slaves, so they must have been blue sun workers or volunteered to do it. I imagine they were making drugs and shit anyway so it's not that big of a loss

The company who owned the refinery hired Zaeed to get rid of the Blue Suns because of his reputation.

The refinery was owned by Eldfell-Ashland Energy, a mining and refining company. They're the same guys who recently claimed the Migrant Fleet destroyed six mining freighters, three frigates, and a cruiser.
Voted for Mass Effect. It'll probably lose but whatever I'm being hopeful :saddowns:

Probably something new, or something we'd least expect.

Feels bad, man.
If you kill Vido and weaken the Blue Suns, there might not be any more of those events. I also bet that saving the refinery workers and letting Vido escape would seriously bite you in the ass later. And the way Zaeed kills Vido is pretty badass.
Yeah I saw that bit finally. When I played the game for Xbox, I chose the Paragon ending, lost Zaeed's loyalty, and got no badass finish. This time was definitely worth it though. Also just finished my first PC playthrough. I had forgotten how fucking amazing everything from the Omega Relay to the end of the game was. This game continues to be my favorite.

This person could be an evil bastard who flings asteroids at colonies for fun. Or it could destroy the Blue Suns and cause a power vacuum, causing groups like the Eclipse and Blood Pack to take over. It could cause a war between different factions of the Blue Suns who follow opposing successors to Vido, creating havoc and the deaths of thousands. It's stupid to make a decision based on hypotheticals which may or may not happen. The factory workers needed to be saved and Zaeed needed Vido dead, you had to choose what was more important there and then, not what might happen. Look a Maelon, he got so wrapped up in what could have been and what might be that he almost cured the Genophage, which would have lead to mass murder at the hands of Clan Wyrloc.

Yeah I managed to keep everyone alive this time whereas it took me 7 playthroughs of the relay on Xbox to get it right. But then again, after doing a ton of research and looking at walkthroughs and shit, I already knew what to do this time around.
I have a post bookmarked, so I shouldn't go wrong.
Bleh walkthroughs who needs them? Says the guy who lost half his crew.
You don't need a walkthrough as long as you have common sense. Which I did not have on my first try, putting Jack and Zaeed as my fire team leaders.

Or to make it more easier, killing Illusive Man may cause Cerberus to be destroyed, but most likely a more ruthless bastard/bitch may take control of Cerberus and be a more militant Terra Firma. For example, they may restart the whole Subject program(where Jack/Subject Zero came from) and continue experimenting on children, but making it worse than what Jack went through, they might capture Quarians and destroy Lifeships, and they can try killing high-ranking alien diplomats and military leaders to cripple them.
