There's a surprisingly good article on IGN about what they want for ME3 I have to say I agree with most of it http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/113/1138506p1.html

Piloting the Normandy would be a perfect addition to Mass Effect 3. We'd love take direct control of the Normandy from inside the cockpit and traverse the galaxy in the same way you'd fly a plane in a traditional flight simulator. Even if this addition was confined to specific sections during the story, steering the Normandy could still be used as a plot device and a way to reward gamers that have been disappointed by the limited interaction with the Normandy in the past.

Piloting the Normandy would be a perfect addition to Mass Effect 3. Actually, manually flying the Normandy instead of using the Starmap seems like a good idea. Random pirate/terrorist/merc encounters, anyone?
[img_thumb]http://social.bioware.com/uploads_user/1587000/1586221/24975.jpg[/img_thumb]
I like what you did there Hmm, ME1 had the Geth, ME2 had the collectors, I wonder what the iconic enemy for ME3 will be? My moneys on the Keepers. I mean just look at em standing around, pressing buttons and what not. Theyr'e just waiting for the right moment to KILL
There's a new code up on the mass effect, bioware, and dragon age facebook
It links to this company. Definitely London. EDIT: Wait... some think that it has to do with a fish called 'Red Herring' somehow... hmm.
Random pirate/terrorist/merc encounters, anyone?
Oh fuck random. Jesus Christ, that's what made Final Fantasy bloody irritating for me
Alright, alright. The code has been decrypted and it links to this image: This fish is a 'red herring'. I wonder if it is a literal or a metaphorical one though :v: Well that's quite fishy
It's a metaphorical red herring, it means they've either been lying to us about the hints, or the plot will involve false leads.
But then again, aren't herrings used for Fish 'n' Chips? So it could be another link to the UK.
But then again, aren't herrings used for Fish 'n' Chips? So it could be another link to the UK.
Never heard of herring being used in a chippy :v:
It's a metaphorical red herring, it means they've either been lying to us about the hints, or the plot will involve false leads.
So, now it might not take place in London after all? Damn, I really want to see what's going on in the many minds of Bioware right now.
[img_thumb]http://social.bioware.com/uploads_user/1587000/1586221/24975.jpg[/img_thumb]
every fucking time Still funny though.
Anybody else get shivers when you get to see the Citadel for the first time in ME1? No matter how many times, I still get the shivers.
I get the shivers when the Normandy SR2 takes off in ME2. Especially on my first playthrough, because I was like "fuck yeah, here we go again".
Anybody else get shivers when you get to see the Citadel for the first time in ME1? No matter how many times, I still get the shivers.
I started freaking out when this happened: The moment the Collector cruiser came into view I was pretty much going, "Oh shit."
But then again, aren't herrings used for Fish 'n' Chips? So it could be another link to the UK.
I thought they used cod. :raise:
I thought they used cod. :raise:
Not since Activision took over cod. Anyway. You think this might be how the ME3 Squad screen will look Media´d for size
Not since Activision took over cod.
Yeah. Real funny. :frog:
Never heard of herring being used in a chippy :v:
Bad joke. :)

Also, is it just me or does the art style in that picture kind of like Scribblenauts'?
I hope there will be more instances where you use more than two squadmates in ME3. I found it very cool in the suicide mission when you got to choose squadmates to do jobs and lead other teams, but throughout the rest of the game you only ever needed two. Mordin was the only one who ever got involved in a mission if he wasn't one of your two chosen squadmates (and even then it was just saying a couple of lines over the radio whilst on the ship)
Why do people want to fly the Normandy? It wouldn't really add anything to the game, considering it's mostly point A to point B, and it makes no sense, Shepard is a Commander not a pilot.

Maybe a payload drop from low orbit, Navigate an asteroid field. The small things, and we did (briefly) control joker in ME2 and i think he´s a pilot
Unless they add a rotary turret or w/e ala Ebon Hawk, we're unlikely to see space combat.
I am too lazy to check the wiki right now, but can't frigates carry fighters ? I'd love to drive one of those at some point in ME3.
Shepard can make the Normandy fly through the sun in ME2 if he feels like it, who's to say he can't pilot it.
I am too lazy to check the wiki right now, but can't frigates carry fighters ? Carriers and Fighter Carriers hold fighters, frigates are used as scouts or to fight in packs.
i'd like to see a better mod support. i have tons of ideas for mods, mainly involving tf2 character replacements combat drone to sentry gun hats available in armor locker voice, animation, character model replacements. if only i had the know how
