Shadow Broker was made with the idea that you already finished the game.

What kind of computer you have? And SRL is not reliable.
About backup, use Thanix cannon, half of the mechs gone, or we blew up everything in a 100 mile radius.
At least Mass Effect lost to SC2. Other sites has the usual nintendo series winning every year. At least one time, a series from nintendo lost to Half-Life in the final round.

They are quite okay, no need to worry about tie-ins, the books have their own characters and manage it nicely not interfering with the game itself.
