Ashley can be funny at times (ME1) Condensed version because I don't remember exactly how it went, that was 12 hours ago. Asari: Don't kill me Me: Why? Asari: Cause I'll upon this door and and give you access to stuff Me: Cool, now get out before I blow this place up Asari: AHHHH Ashley: I Enjoyed that.
I thought she said "You enjoyed that, didn't you?"
That's Garrus who says that. I dunno if Ashley does it though.
I thought she said "You enjoyed that, didn't you?"
No i'm pretty sure she said "I enjoyed that"
Oh wait yeah, sorry, I don't keep Ash with me. Apologies, my bad :frown:
I imagine there'll be a few new squadmates, plus Liara and Kaiden/Ashley. Plus some (though probably not all) of the ME2 squadmates will return, and if they died, well too bad, that's less squadmates for you. At least I hope thats how it goes down. I also hope we get Wrex, though that seems unlikely.
Kaidan/Ashley is pretty certain, but I'm not so sure about Liara. She'll help, sure, but she's the SB now. [editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
I really, really, really don't want the Reapers to be killed off. Suddenly making them killable would ruin their terrifying, indestructible image and turn them into generic KILL THEM TO WIN THE GAME enemies. I personally think in Mass Effect 3, you're gonna be building a fleet not to fight, but to run and hide from the Reapers and start over again once the extinction stops.
My preferred ending: everyone dies, you (plus LI) are the last ones alive, you fuck up the Citadel relay even worse so the Reapers can't fix it, and then you leave a message to the species that are gonna emerge in the next 50,000 years. Then with your LI dying on your lap you blow up the solar system you're in or whatever, taking out shitloads of Reapers CUE CREDITS AND AWESOME SONG but bioware doesn't have the balls to do that
I'm hoping we get to go on board other human/turian ships and do missions. And hoping for a expanded citadel as well.

Then at the end Shepherd dies, and it turns out none of it mattered because they all meet up in some sort of elabarate purgatory so they can be together. And the reapers just wanted to turn off some sort of light that was annoying them.
I just wrote this huge block of text which had little to do with the thread I posted it in, so I decided to give it a new thread. If you have ideas of how the main ME3 storyline is going to unfold, feel free to post here. Also feel free to critique this version however you want. Here goes: Shepard will devise a plan to get aid from the Citadel (they can't dismiss what happened in the trailer...ok they can dismiss anything, but let's assume they don't) and build a fleet to take back Earth. It will fail, and SR2 will be destroyed (dejavurite?), everyone will escape pod like in ME2 and be scattered around wherever you drop, prob different areas of London. You'll be unconscious in your pod, and the guy from thetrailer will come and rescue you. You'll have him as a squadie. Your job will be to go to different parts of the city, get your team back and find away off Earth. Earth will be destroyed (some members will die...probably based on your decisions, but I actually think some members will just die outright). You'll escape off of Earth somehow and it will be destroyed (I know...tear).All this time, you'll find out that TIM will have convinced the Council to build a weapon, but that it will require prothean tech. The dialogue from TIM (who will brief you) will go something like this: "Apparentlythe Protheans knew what was coming and were building something. They just didn't have time to make it. In the same way that Ilos was protected, it will be your job to go to different secret Prothean colonies all over the galaxy to recover the scattered items of this weapon. There is no guarantee this weapon will even work, or that these blueprints aren't a trap set by the Reapers. But we don't have the luxury of time to think about it." This will be a big portion of the game, going to different planets and (obviously) having to dodge the Reapers as best you can (there's no way to kill them at this point in the game). You'll develop relationships and get a few new squadies, although you will retain the majority of your old ones. Once you develop the weapon, TIM will direct you to a planet with significantly less Reaper occupation than others. This is where you end up testing it, and finding out that it weakens their shields. This is the part where everyone will get mad at me: After a big fight where we put this weapon on every ship we can, we lose to the Reapers. They are just too powerful. However, once they realize that they have defeated us, they notice that they have lost many Reapers themselves. The Reapers, talking as one (ala geth) tell Shepard (who is very battered at this point) that he will be annihilated. After a long conversation, in which he shows no sign of giving up, the Reapers say this: "We are impressed by your tenacity, Shepard. Know that we are not murderers, but harbingers of perfection. We take the best of every civilization created, at the peak of their galactic dominance, and assimilate them. Through this ritual, we are able to gain unparalleled power. It is who we are. Humanity was never more or less worthy of assimilation than any other civilization we have encountered... but you. You are a gem in the rough. A character more bold than infinite characters before you, more cunning than can be measured, more daring than can be quantified. Join us, our minds, our bodies, and we shall be more powerful than the gods you and thousands of generations of civilizations before you have prayed to. Do this, and your civilizations shall be spared. To thrive once again and build societies from which their future generations can look at in awe and peace. This is our covenant." For the first time in the game, the renegade option will save humanity, the paragon won't. Both at the cost of Shepard's life.
Speculation, not mine As I said in the thread, I think it's "eh".
So Virmire was a success and there was nothing left but Ash.

Yes Jacob, THAT is your prize. For being one of the most bland characters and definitely the creepiest you get yourself a nice ROCKET TO THE FUCKING FACE! Is the risk worth the fucking prize now bitch?
But the priize... :sigh:

And now there are ships using Thanix cannons and possibly other Reaper tech. Reapers aren't indestrucible, just god damn tough.
I wish I could play Dragon Age: Origins to keep me busy until ME3 (which is funny, considering I got it for me to play before ME2). The thing is, I like it, but I suck at it. It's on easy mode and I still suck at it. It's the same reason why I couldn't beat KOTOR. I hate it when combat is ruled by numbers.
Yeah, I got Dragon Age the other day because so many people said it's amazing. Then I get owned by a Revenant because Random Number God decides I miss every attack.

Not really, just most/large part of the Fifth Fleet. [editline]13th December 2010[/editline] Most of Citadel fleet was stretched out and not at the Citadel [editline]13th December 2010[/editline] Most of Citadel fleet was stretched out and not at the Citadel
Yeah, everyone else was busy fighting the Geth. They were also really unprepared for what was coming and didn't really amass all of their forces, just the standard citadel ones.
Actually they had forces on the borders of the Terminus systems to monitor for Geth activity... Nazara was basically taken down only by the Fifth fleet and the remains of the chumps that were at the Citadel. [editline]13th December 2010[/editline] So they were prepared, just at the wrong place :v: [editline]13th December 2010[/editline] So they were prepared, just at the wrong place :v:
It still took the entire citadel fleet to take out 1 reaper.
It was the Citadel's defence fleet, Fifth Fleet and the Desiny Ascension (which couldn't shoot as it's a system to system fighter). The vast majority of the Citadel forces were at the border of the Terminus Systems, no where near the Citadel.
And Sovereign was only taken out when its shields were down, after Shepard killed its consciousness somewhat.
And Sovereign was only taken out when its shields were down, after Shepard killed its consciousness somewhat.
This. People seem to forget this. Sovereign had no shields and probably no mind anymore either. With it's shields up, I don't think any weapon of reasonable scope can hurt a Reaper. Sovereign just crashed into a Turian Destroyer, unharmed.
There was something worse, [sp]Liara giving birth to a collector, in a picture, fucked up shit.[/sp]
I've found that, through my travels across the internet, that if someone remotely thinks of it, there is art of it. 90% of the time it's nasty shit like that.
How many people didn't pick any romance option in ME2? I've been "faithful" to Liara. Tali is overrated, Jack is creepy and Miranda has rabbit teeth.
The creepiness is exactly why I chose Jack. That along with the the fact that I find a mentally unstable and heavily tattooed bald chick absurdly hot.
The creepiness is exactly why I chose Jack. That along with the the fact that I find a mentally unstable and heavily tattooed bald chick absurdly hot.
Jack is certainly the most interesting of those 3. I chose Liara for her smarts and extreme usefulness in combat (Shepard Infiltrator + Legion + Liara is my squad of choice), too bad you can't use her on every mission.
I've yet to romance anyone other than Miranda, though my other main save I kept faithful.
The creepiness is exactly why I chose Jack. The difference to me is the tattoos are fucking awesome and the baldness isn't really a downside. Also if she's stable enough to discuss her past without being engulfed by murderous rage, I'm not interested.
How many people didn't pick any romance option in ME2? I've been "faithful" to Liara. Tali is overrated, Jack is creepy and Miranda has rabbit teeth.
Liara is the best
In my opinion Liara has way too many personalities that are put so apart from the spectrum.
