what do you have against jackels, trojans, ridgebacks, snatches, and challenger's ?
Since we're talking about ME and not GoW vs. real world Armadillo vs. Mako: Mako wins EVERY TIME. It has a 155mm MA, while the Armadillo dies to grenades. Centaur vs. Hammerhead: Hammerhead wins EVERY TIME. The Hammerhead is too maneuverable for the slowest missiles in the world to hit with any degree of reliability. Kodiak vs. KR: Initially I'd give this to the KR, but then the Kodiak can open one of its doors and the passengers can shoot at the huge exposed space in the middle.
Most of them I can agree with but shooting at the KR's troop compartment wouldn't disable the copter outright, it would kill the passengers though, besides the KR could still use its main gun. Also if we where talking about the gunship variant of the KR, the kodiak would be infinitely screwed.
what do you have against jackels, trojans, ridgebacks, snatches, and challenger's ?
I don't play Mass Effect to hear 'DANGER CLOSE' every 10 seconds.
I didn't choose to kill the council, I chose to concentrate on Sovereign because he was going to take more lives than would have been saved if I saved the council. But either way Sovereign is killed
The Destiny Ascension is a massive ship. Shepard goes into detail on how many lives were aboard it in Mass Effect 2 when talking to the reporter. Sovereign was blowing up dreadnoughts and cruisers. Frankly, I think the sacrifice was worth it. Even if you "focus on Sovereign" you still kill him. It's more epic saving the Council.
We don't need more vehicles, I don't want to turn this into a Black Ops clone. Snow mobiles, choppers, boats, bikes, stealth planes, RC cars... The Hammerhead is a good successor to the Mako and there is only place for one APC and a shuttle on the Normandy anyway. I don't say it wouldn't be fun, but it jeopardizes the credibility of a game.
Snow mobiles are not in black ops, those are in MW2. But the vehicles don't have to fit in the normandy, they could just be on the surface of planets though. Also there are vehicles in bad company and thats still a very good game.
I said it once and I said it again, Mass Effect is a complete experience without more vehicles.
i don't play mass effect to hear 'danger close' every 10 seconds.
"Enemies everywhere!"
"Enemies everywhere!"
I will destroy you!
Go! Go! Go!
Wrex.
Vehicles make sense to be used in large scale engagements or rapid deployments... Mass Effect's combat is composed of a three-man strike team going up against about a company strength [ or w/e, I never did brush up on my military jargon ] force before they would have a chance to bring in the big stuff. Tell me where a tank fits into that more often than random encounters with armor as in ME1 [ cough armatures cough].
In Mass Effect you're a commando squad.
Ok seriously think this through, what is the benefit to heavy massive vehicles when there are kinetic barriers and mass effect fields?
Ok seriously think this through, what is the benefit to heavy massive vehicles when there are kinetic barriers and mass effect fields?
Bigger guns and troop transport, seeing as power armour seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
enemy encampment just past this marsh, atleast five krogan combatants. SENT IN THE BRITISH ARMY JACKELS whats wrong with a little tracked vehicle combat in mass effect there are requirements for heavily armored vehicles in the future. imagine the situation i just mentioned. you could sent in a light armored vehicle with 4 mounted weapons to slaughter the enemy in seconds instead of sending in 3 people
I don't play Mass Effect to hear 'DANGER CLOSE' every 10 seconds.
Just because it has vehicles doesn't make it a MW2 clone.
Bigger guns and troop transport, seeing as power armour seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
The Mako had a 155mm cannon with a mass accelerator, that's a pretty big gun.

SENT IN THE BRITISH ARMY JACKELS http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/05eXesl72a5WN/610x.jpg whats wrong with a little tracked vehicle combat in mass effect
My point remains: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1012340?p=26054942&viewfull=1#post26054942 It simply won't fit into what this game stands for: squad based combat, tactical abilities and dialogues! Hammerhead approaches unarmed vehicle: Renegade option - Ram it off the street. Erm, nope.
"Enemies everywhere!"
"Mind over matter" Wait wha-
I really can't wait for ME3. All sorts of possibilities based on your actions. So exciting! Depending on the death of your squad mates if they died, to Conrad Verner's reappearance maybe, to the sake of the council, the cure for Thane's illness, will Koylat make an appearance, the choices you make with certain groups to go to the war with you or against you.. yadada. *o*
Just because it has vehicles doesn't make it a MW2 clone.
I'm not saying vehicles make it MW2, but that's what Xana seems to want this to be.
The internet at its finest, when it has absolutely no idea what it's talking about. :frogdowns:
What do you mean ? Publishing free comics is obviously 'garbage dumped on the public to make a few more dollars' :v:
I hate free comics so expensive...

The Mass Effect fanbase is so...confusing. The fans voted ME2 for GOTY, and yet all you see in the Bioware forums is whining, bitching and trolls. And somehow in the poll section of the forums, ME2 wins any poll. :wtc:
We're just that undecided. Perhaps we need to assume direct control of our idiots.
