Mass Effect Megathread - This one doesn't have time for your solid waste excretions! - Games

The hammerhead has only one redeeming quality in my eyes, it's funner to drive than the Mako. Otherwise it's a glorified remake of the craptacular rocket launcher you get, as it's kinetic barriers overload from a Shuriken burst and the armor is made of tinfoil, yet still it's main gun is a horrible weapon. That's all I could think about during Overlord's driving sections.

No matter how many times I replay Mass Effect 2, when Garrus says "Everybody has a choice" in his loyalty mission I get chills. Pretty much every line he says in his loyalty mission gives me chills.

I just bought both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 for the PC. I've played them both on consoles but now I plan to play the third on the PC so I have to make my character. When you import a character from ME to ME2 what options does it give you? Facial Reconstruction? Military Specification re-roll? Cause I plan to speed the fuck through ME and don't know which class I'm gonna do it as, I may not like the one I chose and am curious if I can re-chose in the sequel.

You can re-create your character and re-select class specialization.

Cool. So really only the choices transfer?

I have never finished an ME playthrough with a female Shepard, I always end up making them look like middle aged soccer mom bitches.

I have never done a Femshep playthrough, or even started one. I wanted to for my Renegade playthrough of ME2, but something held me back from making a Femshep. Probably the fact that just about every horny ME fanboy always plays as Femshep. I tried playing as a femshep just to mix things up a bit, but the only difference in my playthrough was slightly worse voice acting. She sounded totally bored throughout the whole game.

Yeah, something was off with the femshep VA.

I like FemShep's voice acting.

Female Shepard: Drink it. Didn't really hear it, but she sounded more casual. Fshep is better during the ending of the suicide mission if [sp]she fails to get on the Normandy and falls off/dies. She shows emotion, and makes me genuinely saddened on her death.[/sp]

At times she sounds a lot more intimidating than Meer, especially on renegade scenes. Don't get me wrong. Mark Meer's work as male Shepard is great. It makes the game naturally more entertaining in my opinion. Yet, I still think Jennifer Hale is a lot better for the role of Shepard. Shepard is supposed to be a serious person that can kill you if they so pleased. Running around as a renegade male Shepard with a voice like Mark Meer's when you're trying to be serious to scare your enemy just doesn't work.

In other words, I think it's awesome.

I think he sounds more comical than intimidating. "Get out! Now! Before it blows! RUN!" "Haha, I can't believe that actually worked." Yeah Shepard, neither could I considering you [I]never[/I] sound serious.
