I would think that it'd be more like the dog from Dragon Age. That thing was extremely helpful. I even took down the High Dragon with it nearly by itself. If you were to have a Varren, I would think it would basically have a combat style like the mabari.

They never have mentioned black ops before in the ME universe. I guess that's because we already have shadow organizations like the League of One, Spectre's, STG, and Cerberus
