The only time I ever use heavy weapons are when I'm fighting 2 YMIR mechs at once or at the last level when I used the blackhole gun to suck up waves of husks and abominations

The Arc Projector is a pretty satisfying weapon, seeing a whole squad going down or a tough enemy having its ass fried. Can't say I dislike it but goddamn, the ammo for it is scarce.

I used it once and it was my first time using. It was during Garrus's loyalty mission. I used it on the first YMIR mech I fought and I was blown away at how powerful it was. Then I needed it for the battle against the 2 YMIR mechs but I only had a 35% charge so I had to take them out the hard way
I use the Collector Partical Beam (probably the most useful vanilla heavy weapon) if I'm dealing with biotics and the Missle Launcher when I feel like it.

I've only used it once, on insanity, blind firing the finishing hit into the reaper, I hit him right in the chest light, it was pretty exciting.
