It was pretty useful in Halo 2 and Modern Warfare 2(not saying much seeing as MW2 was unbalanced as it was), so if implemented properly in ME3, it could work pretty well.

After watching She-ra with a friend, for some reason Shadow Weaver really reminds me a little bit of Tali or just any quarian in a way, well except for her infamous doings. And if there was pistol dual wielding, what would be the reason to have "heavy" in "heavy pistol"?

Almost as laughable as dual wielding lever-action shotguns, firing them more than once, and reloading them in less than a minute. And they might have just put "heavy" in front of all pistols in ME2 so that everyone that didn't choose soldier felt like they weren't idiots going into combat with just a pistol.
