I reckon in ME3 it's really gonna pay off to have Anderson in the council.

Or Anderson will walk into the council chambers and punch out ALL THREE other council members AND Udina in a SINGLE punch and then unground the Normandy!
And then it'll turn out that Anderson is Legion and Garrus simultaneously and he can falcon punch a reaper to death utilising the power of Commander Shepards statement that this is his favourite Angius on the Citadel.

And ME3 ends with Udina: ''Ah yes, Reapers, we have dismissed that claim.'' As the Reapers invade.
I sure hope this announcement is going to be Mass Effect 3. If it isn't I'll be very disappointed. Even though everything points to it being ME3, there's still a chance it could be something else.

Being a colonist makes Anoleis call you a protectionist and a communist.
I think that a socialst-democrat/leninist Earth is best Earth when it comes to things like organizing space travel. Private companies would tend to screw things up for huge personal benefits.
Once automation and robots eliminate the working class, we'll need a Socialist state otherwise it'll be an oligarchy.

Not that I support utopic ideologies like anarchy, but I think you are mistaking anarchy with what the angsty teen mobs throwing molotov cocktails represent.
At worst, anarchy would lead to despotism.
