Wow this thread is still going. I've yet to start my second playthrough of ME2, I blame other games and school.

I blame not having the game. Don't look at me, my computer can't handle the graphics and my parents are cheap.

Does it seem to anyone else that Batarians are the only ones who take their physical characteristics from something meant to be alien? Most of them are humanoids crossed with some earth animal species but Batarians seem to be more like an alien human than anything else.

they all look like aliens to me.

You know what I mean. Turians are birdlike reptile humanoids, Salarians are lizard humanoids, Asari seem to be some kind of sea creature humanoids, Krogans are a hell of a lot like crocodiles and other dinosaurs. Batarians just seem to not fit any earth animal and are more based from human ideas of what aliens look like.

Turians remind me more of dinosaurs. no idea why.

I actually thought that the Turians looked and seemed more alien then the Batarians. Batarians just have an altered skin tone/texture and added parts.

They're a composite of birds, raptors and other animals but they are still based off earth animals and most of their traits can be brought back to that. Batarians don't have any elements from other animals and are just humans modified in some alien direction. A Yahgs 8 eyes are reminiscient of spiders, a Batarians 4 eyes are just a speculative image on what an alien would be.
