My flashlight!
On this note, has anybody noticed that the Geth might be developing personality? I mean, they are sentient, and the programs operating inside Legion were in conflict, showing differing opinions, which means each mobile platform may have it's own small "personality". I think the best example is when Shepard asks why Legion chose his/her N7 armor specifically for repairs, and he says "No data available."
I never could buy into the whole "machines having feelings" thing, untill Legion played the recording of the first Geth to ask if it has a soul (or the first time the Quarians were scared about it). He had a child like innocence to the way he spoke to his creator, I kinda felt sorry for him/it.
[You are reading this in Legions voice] It sounded... nervous.
Sounded curious to me
It could also be that the Geth in some way tries to make the galaxy better for some reason. Maybe they have some type of motives that us puny organics can understand. Maybe they try to repair what they destroyed. Don´t know how that relates to their terraforming projects though
No, Legion said that they're repairing and rebuilding Quarian worlds for the time Quarians come back.
No, Legion said that they're repairing and rebuilding Quarian worlds for the time Quarians come back.
It's possible they feel indebted to their creators for the havoc they wrought. After all, they drove the Quarians from their planet and forced them to live in a gigantic gypsy fleet where they have to wear biosuits because they die if you sneeze on them.
because they die if you sneeze on them.
Or just breathe out at their general direction
It wasn't really the Geth's fault, the Quarians struck first. Although I do agree that the geth are looking after the Quarian homeworld until they come back and reclaim it, to be honest the Geth don't seem capable of holding grudges.
Honestly, I'd freak out a bit too if a robot thats supposed to know only how to clean asked me "Whats the meaning of my existence" [editline]1[/editline] Although, i wouldn't declare an all out war against all those robots. Trying to find out how it got that smart and being friends sounds more fun. [editline]1[/editline] you ninjad my edit :ninja:
Honestly, I'd freak out a bit too if a robot thats supposed to know only how to clean asked me "Whats the meaning of my existence"
Not an excuse to attempt genocide though.
Well people have attempted AI previously in the ME universe and it basically always ends with the overlod making you compute pi.
Well people have attempted AI previously in the ME universe and it basically always ends with the overlod making you compute pi.
Hey, leave EDI out of this.
Well people have attempted AI previously in the ME universe and it basically always ends with the overlod making you compute pi.
Because some bastard plugged it in.
Because some bastard plugged it in.
*cough* Joker *cough*
Can someone please explain me why Geth are considered organics? I mean really it's just like bacon stapled to a calculator and saying it's organic.
They aren't considered organics?
Can someone please explain me why Geth are considered organics? I mean really it's just like bacon stapled to a calculator and saying it's organic.
Because they're developing sapience. A society with it's own culture and morals typical of an advanced civilization. They're not considered organics, just...life.
-snip-
Actually sentient=/=organic. I mean... mucus is organic too. Wait a minute... MUCUS FOR SQUADMATE AND LI IN ME3
That's because they're self aware, completly confused as to what to do when you're self aware (because it's all new to them) and because they quit eenjoy being self aware so can you please stop capping the drones with disruptor rounds.
They're building a Dyson Sphere esque station that'd house all Geth Programs. In ME2, it's been under construction for 216 or 261 years, forgot which. Also, what's with the Old Machine pictures in Keji's Graybox?

Project: Overlord involves an autistic guy computing numbers all day, while Joker was worried about computing pi all day because he plugged in the Overlord. Coincidence?! However, I don't know how the Alliance could be implicated.
Fuck I deleted the data :smithicide:

"It seemed harmless."

Shit, it seems i missed out a lot by not buying the overlord pack. Next time the paycheck comes in, I´m there
Because some bastard plugged it in.
More like a tool.
More like a tool.
Tool? Joker is awesome, who are you kidding.
