Never said Metal Gear was great stealth.
Then maybe it did get it's influence from Wolfenstein :haw:
zing
i hope i can still climb ladders while crouching and shooting with dual pistols + kicking at the sametime
Yeah bring back kicking and the ability to pick up chairs. I did the entire of that village mission with a chair, knife and grenades.
So, how late will I be if I say 'Awesome, a new Wolfenstein game?'

This is the first enemy that you will encounter in the game; you will see several more throughout the game (especially in Mission 5). They only have a pistol and are easy kills. The first one is so busy experimenting on your friend that you can sneak up on him and knife him in the back.
Workers

You will come across several different types of workers during the game. These include Radio Operators and Mechanics. They are usually preoccupied with some task making them easy targets; if they do notice you, they only have a pistol. Occasionally, a worker will be too terrified to attack. In this situation, they will cower and beg for their life; they may even offer some helpful information in return.
Soldier

Since this is the standard Nazi enemy, you will encounter many of these guys. Each has his own level of inteligence and accuracy (most noticable with snipers). There are several variations of their uniform depending on which area you are in. Soldiers can carry the MP40, Mauser Rifle, or Panzerfaust. In Mission 7, you will encounter a few Elite Soldiers who carry the Sten.
Officer

Easily recognizable from their fancy uniforms (as apposed to the standard issue uniforms that the Soldiers wear), the Officers are probably the least dangerous enemy. Despite having good acuracy, they are usually armed with only a pistol. Ocasionally they are equiped with a MP40, making them more dangerous.
Elite Guard

Aside from the innocent civilians that you can't shoot, Helga von Bulow, and Marianna Blavatsky, the Elite Guards are the only females in the game. They are part of a evil covenant of witches run by High Priestess Marianna Blavatsky. There are a couple of different faces for the Elite Guards, but they all look basically the same. These deadly females use the Sten and the are very accurate with it. Ocassionally (Mission 6, Part 4: Unhallowed Ground for example), they are armed with a Mauser Rifle; they are very good snipers with it. Luckily, you will only encounter them in Mission 2, Part 4: The Defiled Church, the final two parts of Mission 6, and Mission 7, Part 2: Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Paratrooper

You will first encounter the Paratroopers in Mission 3, Part 4: Air Base Assault. This is the only time that you will see them parachuting into the action, but you will encounter these deadly enemies many more times. Appropriately, they carry around the FG42 Paratrooper Rifle. On some rare occasions, they may have a Panzerfaust. This happens in Mission 4, Part 2: The Bombed Factory.
Flame Trooper

The only enemy in the game that carries around Flamethrowers. There are very few of them in the game and they are either alone or supporting some Soldiers. They are very dangerous in tight areas or close quarters; it is best to back away from them and take them out before they can get within flaming range. They wear flame retardant clothing so you can not hurt them with the flamethrower; they also can not acciedently hurt themselves so they are free to flame in any situation. You will first encounter them in Mission 4, Part 1: Kugelstadt.
Venom Trooper

These guys look a lot like the Flame Troopers except they carry around the Venom Minigun. You won't run into many of them, but when you do, it will probably be a group of them. Like the Flame Troopers, they wear flame retardant clothing and cannot be damaged by the flame thrower. They first appear in Mission 5, Part 1: Ice Station Norway.
Skeletal Warrior

There are 2 variations of this enemy - one which wears a helmet and one which doesn't. Other than the slightly different appearance, they act exactly the same. A Skeletal Warrior will crouch behind his shield and deflect your shots back at you. When it gets close to you, it will stand up to attack you; occasionally they stand up while still far away so that they can run. You should only attack them when they are standing so that they won't deflect your shots; either shoot them in the head or run behind them and shoot them in the back. They are only found in the Catacombs and Crypt of Mission 2 and in the last two parts of Mission 7. They will fight with any Nazi Soldiers that may be around.
Zombie

Zombies are slow moving and have 2 different attacks. The first is the usual walk up and maul attack. The second attack is a ranged attack where the zombie stops, screams, and shoots Magical Skulls at you. These Skulls are like homing missles and will damage you as long as they are in contact with you. If you stand far enough from the Zombie, you should be able to dodge the Skulls while shooting. Make sure that the Zombie shatters when you kill it (shoot it after it is "dead" if it doesn't). If it doesn't shatter, it may come back to life. As with the other undead enemies, they are only found in ancient ruins. This includes the Catacombs and Crypt of Mission 2 and Mission 7, Part 2: Return to Castle Wolfenstein. They will fight with any Nazi Soldiers that may be around.
Flaming Zombie

There are very few of these in the game. It is just a zombie that is on fire. Its only attack is to spit fire at you like it is using a flamethrower. Stay far away when shooting these creatures to avaoid the fire attack. They are only found in the Catacombs and Crypt of Mission 2 and they will fight with any Nazi Soldiers that may be around.
Loper

These are experimental mutants that you first encounter in Mission 4, Part 4: Secret Weapons Facility and throughout Mission 5. They can either damage you by leaping across the room to hit you or by shooting electricity at you. Both attacks are very damaging and dangerous since they are hard to avoid. Lopers are very good jumpers so they can easily get to you even if you are on a different floor; their electric attack can also hurt you from a different floor. These guys can take a lot of damage so you will probably have to use the more powerful weapons (Panzerfaust, Venom Minigun, Flamethrower, or grenades) to kill them. They will attack any Nazis that are around.
Stage VII Proto Soldat

These large half human, half machine enemies are very dangerous and you will encounter many of them in Mission 5; there are also a few in Mission 7, Part 1: The Dig. As a weapon, they carry either a Venom Minigun or a Pazerfaust and are very accurate with both. They look the same with either weapon, so you can not tell which they are using until they start shooting. They wear a titanium armor and will not take any damage from flamethrowers. You will have to use the Panzerfaust, Venom Minigun, Mauser Rifle, or grenades to kill them. As they take damage, chunks of their armor fall off. Like some of the other non-Nazi enemies, they will attack any other enemies around (Lopers, Nazis) but will not attack each other.
Type II Uber Soldat

An even more formidable cyborg foe than the Proto Soldat, the Uber Soldat wears a carbon resin plate which protects it more than the Proto Soldat's titanium armor allowing it to take more damage; again, it cannot be harmed by the flamethrower and chunks of armor fall off as it takes damage. The Uber Soldat has some devastating attacks; it is always armed with a Panzerfaust and it also has either a Tesla Gun or a Venom Minigun. It is slow moving, so your best bet is to out-maneuver it while you damage it with the Panzerfaust and Venom Minigun. You will encounter one of these in Mission 5, Part 3: Super Soldier and two slightly weaker ones in Mission 6, Part 4: Unhallowed Ground.
Bosses:
Helga von Bulow

Helga is overseeing the excavation near Wulfburg and commands a group of Elite Guards. At the end of Mission 2, she picks up the Dagger of Warding against the advice of her colleagues and is turned into a hideous monster that you must defeat. She attacks much like the Zombies that acompany her; she will either maul you or send tortured souls at you. The Tortured Souls are much like the Zombies' Magical Skulls except they are harder to avoid, do more damage, and temporarily blind you. Helga also has much more life and is much faster than a Zombie.
Marianna Blavatsky

She is the High Preistess of the witch's coven to which the Elite Guard and Helga von Bulow belong. She is in charge of Anointing Ceremony to turn the three Uber Soldats into the Dark Knights; she also performs the resurrection ritual to bring Heinrich back from the dead. After raising Heinrich, she is transformed by him into a zombie. She moves a little faster than a regular Zombie, but uses the same Magical Skull attack.
