Damn, that sucks! Tell you what guys, I'll upload it for you! Give me a second to upload... (you'll still be able to purchase the upgrades through the Play Store!) [editline]14th May 2012[/editline] Here guys, try this: http://filesmelt.com/dl/Phyzicle4.apk You should be able to install it now, and still use the IAP through Google Play :)
ooh. that was interesting. most dull commentary ever. And the sharing thing seems a little strange. what if there are 2 levels called pull or edge :s
Thanks Agop, that works :)
ooh. that was interesting. most dull commentary ever. And the sharing thing seems a little strange. what if there are 2 levels called pull or edge :s
The server generates the name, so that isn't possible.
That's right, uploaded levels are automatically assigned a physics-related keywords for easy and clean (Apple doesn't like bad words) sharing :) Locally saved levels can be named anything you'd like, though!

Check out keyword: game [vid]http://puu.sh/uNdj[/vid]
You should really add an option to upload levels to the community with a specified name; if left blank it will just generate one. (bad words can set off a flag that won't allow the level to upload)
The problem with that is you can never properly block slang words without producing a list of more than 5000 elements that could even block "bad" words in good contexts.
Apple doesn't like bad words
I think I can suddenly live with the Android SDK for a while longer.
Man, it made me feel good and also kinda guilty to see Facepunch in the "thanks to" section in the credits. We gave you so much shit for all sorts of stuff and you still thank us. I've also noticed a bunch of bugs\concerns but you say to send them to you in-app so I'll do so that way.
Thanks for all the support guys! @ mechanarchy: Yup, using the contact forms is the best way :)
Looks like O.E. Cake, which is awesome :D

By that logic apple wouldn't allow any app that lets you type to each other, surf the web, surf forums, watch tv etc etc.
Apple doesn't want you watching porn on their devices though!
Seems a bit OTT. By that logic apple wouldn't allow any app that lets you type to each other, surf the web, surf forums, watch tv etc etc.
Then I have to deal with increasing the age rating, providing forms for taking down infringing levels, etc. (just to be strictly legal, not that anyone would ever use them)
Being able to create "backround" objects would be neat. Objects which other objects can pass trough.
Being able to create "backround" objects would be neat. Objects which other objects can pass trough.
Tap on an object to select it, then use the collision groups (A through F) to configure which objects collide with each other. For example, a square in collision groups A & B will collide with a circle in collision group A and with a rectangle in collision group B, but the circle and the rectangle won't collide with each other because they don't share a collision group.
What did you use to record that gameplay on the previous page?
What did you use to record that gameplay on the previous page?
I record things via my development build (on Windows). The contraption itself was built on a PlayBook. Someone made a feature request to record videos inside the app, so I'm gonna see if that's a technical possibility.
So the download works fine, but it wont let me update for the same reason... hmmm...
Well I just bought both expansion pack, spend those $2 well buddy! Too bad you don't have a tegra tablet, having water optimised for tegra 3 would be sweet
So the download works fine, but it wont let me update for the same reason... hmmm...
Hm, does it give you an error message? What happens?
Hm, does it give you an error message? What happens?
Same thing. "Insufficient space" Its the cache issue mentioned earlier for Samsung devices. update was 30.6 MB... so damn close. Regardless, it would seem I also cannot purchase the upgrades, the links don't seem to go anywhere. They did at one point, but I was dumb and didn't throw my money at you then.
Hm, fuck! I'm gonna work on stripping down the size a little more, hopefully that fixes it for you!
Looks awesome, but there are already a fuckton of 2D physics sandboxes. If you really want to stand out, make a game out of it (like Fantastic Contraption) or better yet, make a 3D physics sandbox (so Garry's Mod will finally have some goddamn competition) From what you have right now, making some sort of contraption building game, where you have certain parts you can use and you have to combine them to reach a certain goal, would be your best bet. I'd buy that if there were enough levels.
Looks awesome, but there are already a fuckton of 2D physics sandboxes.
Not exactly true. On iOS: - ToyBox ($1.99): small selection of shapes, only 1 or 2 constraints, limited building area, no fluids, no community sharing, no undo/redo, limited configuration, and so on - Physify ($1.99): no concave shapes, only 1 or 2 constraints, no fluids, no community sharing, no undo/redo, limited configuration, and so on - aSandbox (free): only squares and rectangles, maybe 1 or two constraints, no fluids, no undo/redo, no configuration, and so on - Phyzicle (free to play, $1.99 when fully upgraded): everything you could want in a 2D physics sandbox, including fluids, and growing every day On Android: - Apparatus ($2-3): decent sandbox, lacks in certain areas like customization, no fluids, and so on - Phyzicle (free to play, $1.99 when fully upgraded): everything you could want in a 2D physics sandbox, including fluids, and growing every day On PlayBook: - The Physics Toy ($0.99): only circles and rods, literally - no other shapes or constraints of any kind - Phyzicle ($1.99): everything you could want in a 2D physics sandbox, including fluids, and growing every day Maybe you're talking about desktop sandboxes? Because Phyzicle is for mobile devices.
From what you have right now, making some sort of contraption building game, where you have certain parts you can use and you have to combine them to reach a certain goal, would be your best bet. Messed around in it on the Nexus One, tried the fluid demo from the FAQ: Right fluid rectangle and part of the left fluid rectangle fall through the floor Fluid becomes the size of a caterpillar instead of filling the box The density slider has a 5px hotspot to make it somewhat floaty, not enough and the fluid catapults it out of the screen, 5px to the right and it sinks. Most of the UI is slow: undo, redo, delete, unchecking boxes, changing sliders take 2-3seconds, panning&zooming is hard to do and sometimes it doesn't pick up taps It's generally too unresponsive to have fun with. I'm running the stock firmware android 2.3.6
Thanks for the report. I thought the Nexus One was fine with it but it appears not - I'll see what I can do. [editline]16th May 2012[/editline] Are you running any custom firmware or anything?
