A video got through the closed beta stuff (as one would expect - it'll probably be taken down soon, if not already). It looks like they took the maps and some altered content from BF2 as we already know, slapped on BC2 asthetics (like hud, indicators, etc.) and so forth. But this is just what I saw, mind you.
Also, the whole 'no class switching' thing really kills a major aspect of the series gameplay.
I got a key myself aswell, Although seems like I can't redeem it.

It's a battlefield game.
It's all right. As many have said, it's very unpolished so far, so I don't think I'll be playing it until it's been patched a bit more. One thing though--is there really no melee, or am I just unobservant?

Also, I don't really like not being able to change class ever. Sometimes your team just *needs* an engineer, or medic, or whatever.

I have not played bc2 so i don't know about that. But let's just compare this game to heroes. Heroes has alright servers.

It's a mix of bf2, bc2 and heroes. Heroes as base, bf2 for the models and maps and bc2 for gameplay (mixed with heroes).
You couldn't swap character in heroes either. It's not class swapping by the way. You have characters that you picked a class for.
I just tried it. It is rather alright. But I won't see myself playing it since I already have BC2 and starting from tomorrow BC2 Vietnam as well.
The camping is so bad considering there is no artillery and no mortar strikes (two very effective anti-camp measures). Also tanks seem to be a bit overpowered considering that the only class that has explosives that can take out the tank is the engineer class (I'm pretty sure that is the only class that has anti-tank stuff) and if your team doesn't have a tank or engineer, the other team will swarm your spawn with their tank.
Isn't Recon/Sniper suppose to have remote explosives?
See this is the thing about how you're restricted to one class. Normally if you detect you have a tank problem, switch to Engineer.
But noooooo they had to make it so you can't change class

This game just reminds me of how Battlefield: Heroes could have been one of the best shooters on the market, but then decided that they didn't want that and made it Pay2Win. I was watching my brother play it for a bit, and it looks [I]just[/I] like BF2, except with persistent RPG stats and slightly different gameplay.
Only annoying thing is you can't change classes ingame.
I just got accepted. I was going to say, i have purchased almost every battlefield game in existence. Can't wait to try this.

Got my invite about an hour ago, installed and everything, going to pop on and try it in a moment.
Pretty easy to dominate as tank :v: got to level 4 in one round as an engineer.
I just played it, and wow what a horrible experience, no lag. It just sucks.
Personally I think the game was quite enjoyable. The lag was my only issue.

Personally, I found it to be very enjoyable. It's like Battlefield 2, but plays a lot different. Much like the experience back when BF2 was first released.
